Lest we imagine ourselves to be awake

So, we are awakening? We are the light? We are love?

What's happening people?
I'm still not sure if that post about using the word "you" was serious or not? Again I ask, what is happening people.
I write a response to a posed question and get told I am filled with hate and anger. I do however notice that my response which I felt to be well thought out was not responded to and I somehow feel that the finger pointing out hatred and anger is the one that should be questioning itself.
What's happening people.
I say there is an onslaught from the religious right and get flamed, only to read that others share the same views but are (more or less) left alone, perhaps it is my direct wording that gets to certain parties.
What's happening people? ARen't we allowed to be ourselves anymore? Are we to be policed and herded here too? Are we to watch our steps so as not to tread on toes "in-case" we hurt someones fragile ego? I am just asking, that's all.

I was actually going to post this thread and leave it at that but heck, I feel like chatting. Here's the thread....

Oh yes, then we have the multi postings about "Where is the love" and "those people that always talk about love...." etc ad nausea. No need to get into the who's and why's but there is a need to get into the cause and not the symptom. It is best to treat the disease itself rather than try to patch it up and only have it break forth later more virulently than before. Let me be explicit here so that what I said is understood and there can be no misinterpretations. To have to ask the question "where is the love" etc means you go by the last post of the so called "non-lover". To flame thos who are said to "espouse love" continuosly means that, yes, once again they have been measured by their last post. Usually these posts are made in a moment of passion (I should know, I am the main culprit) when the thinking cap is just slightly askance. However, instead of measuring the poster of the so-called hate message by their last post, surely we need to weigh that persons postings up in their entirety? This to my mind is narrowminded bigotry, lack of foresight and also downright unacceptable.

I have a suggestion. When someone poses a question, no matter what that question may be and no matter the topic at least have the decency, the integrity and the foresight to read the answers PROPERLY without predetermination of the meaning of the answer clouded by ones personal indoctrination. After all, that is what learning is, that is how we progress and that is also how we grow.
Hey, if I say something out of line, all you have to do is ask if I meant to be obnoxious and personal and to please explain myself. I love that poster you find in offices that reads "We do not need an exercise program here, dodging all the back-stabbing, all the jumping to conclusions and all the running around behind peoples backs keeps us fit". Well that's the feeling I get . There is just far too much inuendo, too many half said phrases, insinuations I think they are called. What's happening people?

Okay, there we go. Give me your best shot again. No, I won't go running for the door this time. I seem to have been like one of those bat-swing doors lately....is he in, is he out....is he in......you know what I meant. My membership expires in December, we will see then how I truly feel about Avalon. Perhaps there will be a collective sigh of relief if I do just get the hell out and don't come back eh.

I'll stop using the L words and stick to a null sign off seeing as how many people have an issue with it.

Hey there Zeddo

Clearly you did not write anything hateful in that Bible post

and the "You" post you're referring to me thinks is not aimed at you

There were a little clash between people who thinks the Bible is fiction or NWO blueprint and those who believe the Book is an inspirational work of the Spirit

Im on the latter side btw but still it's a Book and we are Souls

We are too Great to be wasting time and energy in backbiting about a Book

The ego is very difficult to control; tolerance should be exercised daily by everyone. In these difficult times try not to take disagreements too personal, so when spinning around in your revolving door… when it stops, hopefully you’ll emerge with a cape on your back.

I searched for the place and I found it ..
If I may say .. the best way to overcome beliefs and dogmas is to get beyond for wether you agree with them or disagree they are setting bounderies that prevent you to enjoy the panoramic view.
If your sky is clouded in any way .. try to look at it from another angle ..

A cape like Bat Man's ???? Only kidding, if I could control this darned ego of mine, I would indeed be a happy man. That doesn't mean I am not working on it PoM. It is a day by day, inch by inch battle and when I allow, it is through the love I find here that I am able to move forward. I tend to slip up a lot though. I really do get annoyed with myself when I realise how fickle I can be.

No Mudra, as it turns out is was of very little importance. In a nutshell, I thought I would answer a series of questions that were posted and that led to a minor storm but really on my part I guess. As was said, ego got in the way and I shouldn't have fallen into the trap. By now, I should know better and really, I should have better control over this ego of mine.

I really am not sure who the "you" post was by. I just remember seeing it. The strange thing is, in a convoluted way I agree with that and I think you will see by the majority of what I write I avoid using You as it precludes ME. I feel that we are all in this together really and need not exclude ourselves.

Thanks for the reply and I do agree with what you say about us being too great to waste time on folley.
