Default Newshound

I thought it was agreed that those annoying Newshound posts would cease.
Oh well,
JoyAnna

if they annoy you, the solution is simple. don't click on them!
this is a non issue. get over it.

It is an issue! All newshound does is push threads down quickly with front page news links. We don't need every single front page news article posted by a newsbot that can't even give you a reply to your comment,if you choose to comment to an idiotbot.

I fully agree Dan. That's why will follow your advise. And not start threads here anymore, so the thing can flush itself to where it belongs.

I don't mind if people want to use the webbot, I will use it, but it should not mix with other threads.

i'm sorry for my tone, but i find it frustrating. i live in an isolated location. i have no tv, a dialup connection that disallows most online news sources, and have access to one hardcopy newspaper. the newsbot has brought me a lot of news that i have not heard elsewhere, or before any other source. for example, i learned of the n korean nuke test here last night, via newsbot. i heard it on cbc this morning.
there are now 5 or 6 threads on this topic. that's derailing the forum too.
perhaps newsbot could have its own category. but don't deny me the variety of relevant things i read on the newsbot's posts.

i live without the access to fast internet that most of you enjoy. it takes several minutes for most pages to load, with my connection. as a result, there are only a handful of places i go online. i have other things to do besides spending half my time online, waiting for pages to load.

Wow, several minutes for a page to load? Holy s...t!! I knew you were on dial up but I didn't think it was that slow!
Have you checked into something like DirecTv, where you get the dish for tv and internet.
I guess the MSM newsbot could have it's own section for those that want news.
By the time I log onto the forum I've read all the news I can handle. LOL
