Wink Is there a purpose to Life?

The purpose of life, and of the Universe we find ourselves in, has puzzled mankind since the beginning of time. Every now and again, a piece of the puzzle falls neatly into place, but still, for many of us, the entire picture is far from being complete.I thought i would get start a thread and get some opinions................

. . . . Before the material universe was created all that existed was the incomprehensible mind of All That Is - God. In this state, God knew all there was to know, but could not experience or feel it. The reason was simple. In the Absolute, there are no opposites to compare things to, just the purest love, joy and bliss imaginable.

There is a big difference between having knowledge about something and experiencing and feeling that same thing. For example, one can know about joy, but only if there is sadness to compare it to. One can also know about love, but experiencing and feeling it is something quite different.

Without opposites in the Absolute, we could not compare or relate to anything, nor could we have emotions. One cannot experience and feel hot unless there is cold, health unless there is sickness, joy unless there is sorrow, love unless there is hatred, forgiveness unless there is anger, compassion unless there is bitterness, masculinity unless there is femininity, and so on. God desired to experience polarity.

He created us (souls) and then created a physical universe in which all that existed had an opposite. As extensions of our Source, we would then voluntarily enter the physical universe and be able to experience and feel for ourselves and for God - All That Is. Another way to say this is that when we smell a rose, God smells a rose. The entire experience allows God and us to learn more about ourselves and become grander versions of who we are.

Your soul, your higher self, is immensely powerful beyond your current ability to understand it. Why? Because it is a fragment or miniaturized version of its Source. Said another way, it is God expressing itself as God. Your soul is a sacred piece of All That Is.

Your conscious self is a projection of your soul experiencing the material world through you (a soul extension). God is experiencing this same world through your soul. The soul - your soul - knows all there is to know at all times. There's nothing hidden to it, nothing unknown. Yet knowing is not enough. The soul seeks to experience. It is your soul's greatest desire to turn its grandest concept about itself into its greatest experience.

Your soul is the sum total of every feeling you have ever created and experienced. Your awareness of some of these is called your memory. When you have a memory, you are said to re-member. That is, to put back together. To reassemble to the parts. When you reassemble all the parts of you, you will have re-membered who you really are.

We are here as an experimental force learning about hate and fear in order to truly understand love and compassion. We are here to create, and to remember who we are.

What do you think..........

Henry

Thank you for sharing Henners,

I came across this today that comes in echo to your posting:

"The path to happiness and a sense of well-being in this very life lies not in avoiding suffering but in using the conscious, embodied, direct experience of it as a vehicle to gain deep insight into the true nature of life and your own existence. Instead of being a reactionary slave to the inevitable pain, frustration, stress, and sorrow in your life, which the Buddha called 'dukkha', you can free your mind such that you have a sense of well-being even when dukkha is present, and you create the possibility of finding compete freedom. Why not dance with the constant vicissitudes of life in a manner that is joyful and liberated, rather than feeling like a victim or being flooded with fear and stress?"

I think that what you posted here is right on the nail head.

I spent many hours searching to learn "why". What is the point??

I was told.... Life is a gift... Just those four words were spoken to me to explain that our soul was given a huge gift worth more then all the gold on this rock. A gift to be here now at this point in what is called time/history.

Years after being told this I was very ill. Was ready to give up. When I was told a second message. "We cannot give up".. Again just four words but with them an understanding that we have a misson right now that we must stick to living our life and learning each step of the way what we must do is a knowledge which wells up from within we can understand it if we tune in.

Bless each of you who took the time to read this. Remember..

Life is a gift. We cannot give up.

Thank you sooo much.... I find that when I am having PAIN such as now...

If I go within I can " Tune Out " the pain... When, I'm out here 'I think.'
If, I were dead right Now, there would be No More pain.... Sooo, I choose
to Feel the Pain, enjoy the pain. The pains I have are called Phan-Tom
pains.... They are NOT real... But, they let me KNOW its going to rain...

Please contact Phillip, and thank him for the words....

And, I Thank you, as the messenger of his words....

I feel peaceful energy within and around you...

I've got to back out in the Sun, heat helps its 108 in Arizona....

Henry, this is exactly what my own journey has revealed to me. You have expressed it beautifully. Thank you.

The God within me recognizes the God within you.

Peace.

On my nightly walk with my dog, my route traced a path along the Avenues at the edge of town.
I loved the calm of the night air and the silent activity of the growing plants and trees in the gardens I passed.
I rarely met anyone along the way; no one to share the narcotic scent from the night stock or miniture Pines. I was strangely glad to have the moment to myself.

There was one young Beech tree I passed, standing alone like a striving juvenile under the penetrating orange glow from a nearby Argon lamp.
Its shape and form were balanced with such symmetry and beauty that I always stopped to wonder as it glistened in the etherial light.
I loved that tree.

One night it was very misty and my walk followed the usual pattern.
But this time the heavy mist brought a gentle hush as even the sound of my breath disappeared into silence before me.
My route opened through the swirl for each few yards, and my eyes peered to focus in the diffused auric light.

I felt so immersed in the incredible beauty of it all.
I reached my tree and lingered to share its spirit.
I found myself speaking to it to thank it for its contribution to the world.
That same detached feeling overcame; as before Out of Body.

Suddenly I was seeing from the perspective of the tree.
Everything went to slow motion and in a flash I was 'one' with the fibres of the tree.
I could feel the sap rising from the ground and the liquid energy drawing through me.

There was no feeling of separation to the ground.
I felt myself being drawn along the connections in the earth to the life force in other plants and trees nearby.
The feeling spread in a surge which must have lasted only moments and then in a blinding nano second I was one with all that came from the ground across the whole Planet.
The vastness condensed into that moment and into the space it was gathered in my head. There was no distance. There was no time. It simply 'was.'

My senses returned and found I had continued my walk for several hundreds of yards.
Tears were running down my face.
It was so very profound.
I was humbled and grateful for the privilege of the experience.

The question asks how we will know when we have made the connection.
When it happens it is total.

When it happens, there is no doubt.

Blessings
Richard

"Being human is an opportunity to bring spirit into all that is material.
Let the magic happen. It’s always there. Abundance and love are always there. Believe in the highest good. There is a higher essence to everything. The realm you’re in has a heaviness that mutes energy. You can penetrate through it, no matter how dark and heavy. Sometimes it has nothing to do with karma. Just don’t forget to keep it open. Don’t get too bogged down, don’t limit the brightness."

I think this is true, in terms of the beginning and purpose of life in general. I don't believe that we are in this 3-D reincarnational loop on Earth by our own choice, however.

I really enjoyed reading your experience Richard.
I used to have a tree below which I would sit .
It did teach me many things.. I called him " whisper".
One day it showed me that trees all over the world
hold hands with each other through their roots..
That was so beautifull to see..
