I saw a meteorite this week. I live in Northern California, about 2 hours north of San Francisco. I had just got off work sometime after 5:15 p.m. , I left the building in the dark, and had just reached my car, and looked north, and saw this very large fireball. Where I was at, it was going from the east to the west, or in a westerly direction. What I saw, burned ‘out’ before it appeared to hit anything. It went quite a distance across the sky. There was a thread on the camelot forum about the Taurid meteors or the Halloween Fireballs because they usually come about every 3.3 years around the end of October & mid-November so I do believe that this dash cam vid is exactly that. I just can't wait when our entire night sky is lit up like its day when we have a massive lightship show one of these very near future days.
