Stuff Obama needs to do if he REALLY wants change

- Will Obama repeal Patriot Acts I and II as well as reversing Bush’s signing statement and acknowledging the repeal of the John Warner Defense Authorization Act?

- Will Obama support Dennis Kucinich’s efforts to bring war crimes charges against Bush, Cheney and others for deceiving the country into a war or will he protect them against such charges like Nancy Pelosi has done?

- Will Obama bring war crimes charges against Bush, Cheney and others for authorizing torture and will the torture of suspects under U.S. detention, a complete violation of both the Constitution and the Geneva Conventions, cease under an Obama administration?

- Will Obama withdraw American troops from Iraq and Afghanistan without sending them away again to bomb another broken-backed third world country in the name of a UN-supported “humanitarian” war?

- Will Obama end the warrantless secret surveillance and phone-taps of American citizens?

- Will Obama follow through on his rhetorical support for the second amendment or will he seek to ban guns as he did in Illinois?

- Will Obama cease his support for the Bush-administration backed banker bailouts, hated by the majority of Americans, and target the real cause of the problem - the Federal Reserve - or will he continue to give taxpayers’ money to banks who are merely hoarding it all for themselves?

- Will Obama seek to continue the militarization of America and preparations for martial law through Northcom or will he dismantle the police state that has been constructed over the last eight years by the Bush administration?

It would be incredible if he honestly tackeled most if not all of those issues.

I want to see him really push for alternative energy sources as well. That's something that Bush kept hidden under the carpet for 8 long years. That's a really critical issue IMO that needs to be adressed with Obama and will show how much he really cares for humanity and Earth itself.

I think that there should be an international war crimes tribunal against Geoge W.Bush and a full international investigation into 9/11

followed by an international criminal investigation into what caused and who is responsible for the global financial collapse.

followed by an international investigation to see who is really in control of our media so that everyone can see who is knowingly lying to us.

followed by an apology to all those innocent people in the world that have been caught up in, lost family members, lost homes in these illegal wars and then to help rebuild their country s

Followed by having something in place to ensure that this never happens again, not only in america, but these evil corporations are in control of all our country s

I agree with the above points. But if nothing happens about repealing those laws in a short period of time , I would suggest that Obama' administration will be on a programme of more of the same .......and continuation of the same policies of fear , terrorism , wars for resources , spying on the World citizens etc . Not a pretty future !

You know.
I know that the presidency is not ran alone, meaning that it's you and a team you bring with you (Your administration) but I keep thinking that to give power to one Person over so much, over a whole country, so many people I think has to change.
Maybe have a team of people, not just one person.
But then I think of the United Nations and how they are and they get almost nothing done when they can't agree on something and the corruption there and then I rethink my idea....

I wish there was a "Corruption Detector"....when you elect someone, you have a machine to test them for corruption....LOL

Obama said "We don't Torture People" and he would close down Guantanamo right away.
I will Surely be looking out for that to happen. I might be dissappointed....

how can a person be on project avalon and STILL believe in the illusion that this new president will change anything? its almost as appalling as those who are here and are religious (who apparently cant tell the difference between spirituality and religion).

We are well aware how manipulated the position of president is. I still feel there is an element of free will to Obama and that he can make some wild card changes that may surprise some of us.

Just the fact that a man of colour was able to take the presidency is a huge consciousness shift for America and humanity. Even if the position is manipulated people still precieve that as a huge shift and form of social evolution.

arcane, respectfully (always), youre missing the point. mainstream media is making this a racial deal. if you know how manipulated the position of president is in the US, then you should know that they would NEVER ever allow a freewill-ing person to earn the position.

problem: GOP [previous held as a savior of our homeland security during 9-11] is now blamed for the iraq quagmire and the financial collapse.
reaction: rage, disgust, general mistrust of the status quo by the populace.
solution: enter obama, with no experience, chanting "change", and everyone jumps on the bandwagon to send a message that we want change. what the change is, of course, is unknown, but the people want it.

most people have ABSOLUTELY ZERO clue about anything. think theyre not hypnotized by the media? turn on fox news or cnn. watch and count-- please try this-- how often you see things moving and twisting in different directions on the screen to keep you hypnotized. there are 6 shapes/icons moving on the screen at any time to keep you glued to the set.


the ONLY way, and only single way this could be of any good is that since everyone has put their trust into this neo-messiah obama, when he DOES start doing the same evil things that the previous administration has done, people will finally lose it and have totally had it. thatll be the final wake-up call.

For me, I am pretty sure obama is corrupt, (they all are right?) but its a question of how corrupt. Where is his line in the sand? Obama is considering Robert F kennedy as his head of enviroment. Also, the white house cheif of staff is really into UFO disclosure in a big way.

I think Obama will be more forward looking so I doubt he will want to impeach. Its too negative for him unfortunatly.

Its my hope that he has been "playing the game" with the PTB until now and once he is in, he will do things his way.

I dont truly expect things to change but at least there is now a glimmer of hope where previously there was none.

I find it difficult to understand how people can't see that political leaders are just puppets for an agenda. They say they understand this yet still hand over all their personal power to them hoping that they solve their problems.

They are actors on a stage set by people behind the scences. The sooner you accept that fact the sooner you'll wake up to reality.

I don't think many on here would argue with that.

It will be interesting to see what agenda will come through Barack Obama. It won't take long to discern which faction is pulling his strings once we see which direction he steers the U.S.

I believe that there was a choice between chocolate poison and vanilla poison. The nation chose chocolate. No surprise there.

One part of BushCo's legacy is that I have lost faith in my country, and that breaks my heart. It's over though, and I move on. The only way Obama could gain my trust and support is if he arrested the entire outgoing administration and charged them with treason and murder. Bush, Cheney, Rice, all of 'em. Will it happen? Hell no! Rice will go on to a highly-paid position at some university or corporation. Cheney and Bush will move out of the country (they could never move freely around this one). Obama will continue the deliberate destruction of the United States of America.

I find I have to consider that this could be the best thing that could happen. We've had our chance to stop using more than our share of the world's resources, and we failed to take that responsibility. Now we will pay for our hubris.

I have been trying to detect the hidden powers behind the two candidates and the President. It gets confusing because of the mixture of support. I'm convinced McCain was backed by neo-nazis. But both Bush and Obama have a mixture of power brokers behind them that cross lines. Maybe this is a good sign, but like you say "we'll see".
