C'mon. It's just swamp gas illuminated by military flares caught in an atmospheric distrubance. Happens all the time.

Seriously, that is frickin incredible! I can't help but think this is an event of major importance and interesting things are about to happen. Why Norway? Why now?

It looks like the blue bit touches the ground. Has anyone figured out where on the ground that is? Is there anything important there?

Maybe its been created by the ET's waiting to suck up all the delegates attending the conference in Copenhagan to whisk them away to unknown territory.

Anyway I asked this question above, but does anyone know how long this spiral was visible?

In the SUN article it says the phenomena was observed for only a minute or two.

But how the heck did people capture great photos like that!

It's about damn time. Finally some actual proof. Proof of what? I have no idea but you sure can't look this one up in the encyclopedia. Of all the wonders in our digital age it's nice to ponder at a perplexing event and ask your self. WTF?

Norwegian Army confirms having statements from the northeren russian fleet that they were supposed to launch a test-missile around that moment in time.

If this is just a silly explanation or not I have no idea, but I don't really think it looks like a missile doing that. The circle's are kinda too perfect...I'm thinking a fractal pattern.

First thing that crossed my mind was a spiral galaxy

this is what i find hard to take, as i believe it may have a part to play in the not so distant future, i find it difficult because it just so wrong on so many levels, ultimate act od decite!
