Fellow posters and readers, I have been touched with what I've read lately, all that positive energy is what drives me, drives us I believe. I feel we can do a little bit more, by that I don't mean that we have to wake the most people up asap, because the only change we have control over is within us.
If we gather enough positive momentum, we don't have to change people's mindset, we just need to inspire them to make the change themselves. We all know there is a problem, and that we need to do something, but exactly what is hard to say. For newcomers/newly awakened individuals to this forum it is a bit hard to figure out what exactly they should be doing to help. I've come up with an idea, and I was wondering if more people would be interested in getting this going. I think it would be a good thing to put our positive intentions in a more concrete and focused form. We could put together are own social contract a-la Jean-Jacques Rousseau. For those who don't know what a social contract is, it's : "a broad class of theories that try to explain the ways in which people form states and/or maintain social order." In other words, how would we want society to work. This is a call to arms, to arm ourselves with common knowledge to prove that the world we dream about is not a utopia, that it is possible to create a model for society that has it's own check and balances within it. I've been working on a skeleton for such a social contract, it's still in it's infancy stage, but I encourage more people to do the same and then share their views/ideas so we can all put that together in one focused spot for everyone to see once they choose to lift the veil and see for themselves that if we stand and unite we can make things happen. Feel free to add your own input/discuss the matter. The idea is to get as much constructive criticism as possible while not going off-topic or getting into arguments. So what do you all think? -Madsheeple Stand and Unite |

I think it's a great idea, however, as I've discovered, there are so many differing beliefs in members of Avalon, it may be difficult to nail down something that everyone would agree to. The first thing that I would like to see happen is that everyone respect the right we have to believe for ourselves whatever works for our own spirits, and that ridicule would not be permitted. It is constructive to share and compare ideas/beliefs. That is how we learn if we are open minded. It is hard to come from a place of love for others if we are rigid and ego driven. That is how I was when I was a sheeple, and waking up made me mad too, lol. Once I got used to the idea that everything I'd been told my entire life had been hogwash, I actually enjoyed knowing that I don't know much about anything, just little tidbits about a lot of stuff. Life certainly has become more interesting, and the folks I've met in the past 14 months have inspired me. It is possible to still love others, in spite of the fact that there are so many out there who are up to no good and the world is in a mess. I still happen to believe that there are a lot more good folks than bad.

We would also need an introduction that would put the interested reader in an open state of mind. Like an instuction kit. I see the social contract as a tool of the mind, but with all tools, you need a good instruction kit so you can use it properly. To then allow "truths and falsehoods to be judge in an open market." So without the instuction kit, the tool is useless. Altough different perspectives allow to see different flaws... any toughts? Stand and Unite |
