Just heard him speak on the economy and innovation/education/health care, on CNBC. Tied it all together nicely. Guaranteed, Canadian's are lending an ear here.
![]() Have liked the man from day one. What he inherited, just before taking office, I swear turned him grey within the first 2 weeks. I wish him God Speed, and ditto to you folks south of the 49th. PS: Avalonians that is. ![]() |

Thanks. He's a good man, but nobody can save us from what is coming. Prepare yourself to be blasted for your opinion...

Obama is who he is and I have no hard feelings against him.
He is a puppet and nothing more. He is not expected to do more in my book then follow the rules of the game he is playing. I dont expect miracles and it used to pain me that some people still expected that to happen. I guess it made me angry to think of them being fooled. Now, I just don't let it bother me. I have come to feel bad for all of them as they are stuck in a bad place which they obviously thought they wanted. We have bigger things to do then worry about them any longer. Even Bush, Cheney,Peloski, Clintons,Gates,Kissinger and so on. Maybe some did understand what the job was all about but they do now and continue doing it. For what ever reason it may be. I noticed the gray hair but not all the time.........He doesnt even look like himself at times. I have seen that happen to others in that job. You certainly do age fast. |

We want everyone to become educated, and so we all agree that education through the 12th grade is free. Education is what lifts people out of poverty. Health care should be the same. We should all care enough about our neighbors... to want everyone to be getting basic health care. Because the sad part is, when we don't take care of people, and their income gets low enough, we end up paying for their health care through welfare anyway. Our health insurance companies are ripping us off. We need to get rid of insurance companies for health care. Obama has my support on his proposed health care changes. He's not a puppet if he's leading the effort to get health reform. Who else is leading the effort? Last edited by KathyT; 09-21-2009 at 07:44 PM. |

I think the feeling for most in the United States is we are all very exhausted at watching daily on the news, corruption, million dollar bonuses for people who never break a sweat , the out right stealing of so many 401 k retirement funds from the enrons collapse, saving and loan scandal , and now all this borrowed money called bailouts. The first 700 billion dollar bailout from the last administration that so many were opposed to. Then watching AIG get millions while people lost their homes only to see the extravagent conventions and hunting trips these people went on with our money. 82k for 4 AIG exectutives going hunting in england and that was after their first bailout. Yes we are to the point that we want change.
So a candidate was voted in based on change, only this type of change was not what we were promised. Our new president is a fantastic speaker but I do think he too is overwhelmed and like many is throwing individuals (czars) at problems in hope of a roll the dice fix. I myself personally was very willing to give this a chance to work. But I am very concerned as to what is actually happening and the piece by piece disection of this great country and for what we stand for . Benjiman Franklin once said: Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic. They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty. Where liberty dwells, there is my country. God grant that not only the love of liberty but a thorough knowledge of the rights of man may pervade all the nations of the earth, so that a philosopher may set his foot anywhere on its surface and say: This is my country. Remember this country was founded as a REPUBLIC- meaning " very limited government based on the rule of law" we are very much swinging towards democracy meaning ruled by a small group of people and making government larger. |

Obama's the lesser of two evils. I can't believe some people can be on this forum and not even know this. Not wasting my time trying to show this either.

I do not think Obama is evil no more than I think Bush is evil.
its the ones telling them how to do their jobs in wash dc that are evil. They are not even human. Our country sold us out. No one can convince me that they are the ones calling the shots. |

So the US was a superpower, but like all good superpowers they too must cease to exist as a world dominating superpower. But thats as it should be.
We are fast arriving at a time that there will no longer be superpowers, so we must accede to the order of things. In its place, we the people shall develop a new society that will not subjugate the people to slavery, but to a society who seeks to raise up every human being to its greatest potential with joy. A society of empowered beings who seek to serve the "whole". All beings will be free, we are on the cusp of bringing forward that of which our hearts desire. Know it, & believe it. For you are much greater than you know. Know that we are "assisted" as long as our motives are pure Last edited by waitinginthewings; 09-22-2009 at 12:54 AM. |

I was one of the ones who believed in the Change theme of Obama's campaign promises. I welcomed transparency, equality, the end of the wars, the reversal of the signing statements Bush issued, abolishing the Patriot Act, finding and prosecuting those really responsible for the 9/11 deaths and subsequent murders in the name of America. I was so ticked off with myself for believing that a politician could have been different, when upon announcing his cabinet appointees, I learned that he was filling the house with old Clinton era figures. Next, I learned that he had been vetted by David Rockefeller and the Bilderberg group. That in itself, told me that we'd been had again. We were fed exactly what we wanted to hear, and we bought it. Even though I feel that health care for all is a wonderful idea, that's not what he's selling. He is a great salesman, but the people are fed up with what he and Congress & Senate are doing. Jordan Maxwell gave a good description of Washington officials as "Gangs" who practice "Democracy" which is mob rule. I suppose right now it's the Democrats turn to rule the roost, but if there is another election in America in 2010, look for some big changes, because people are tired of the 2 party system of liars. And, if Obama doesn't toe the line of the Rockefeller/Rothschild game plan, he'll be out and another puppet will take his place.

The media loves to create drama where there isn't any. Watching the local fake news and they're saying that Obama could be in hot water for a comment he made off-camera to NY Governor David Paterson.
If they were on his side, they wouldn't be trying to stir up **** every time he opened his mouth. Then again, it's more of the same 'ol tired game. |

The media is just another group of gangs that are at war with one another. They all want the largest audiences, but they have to play by their owners' wishes. Once you learn who owns each media source, everything else becomes crystal clear. I don't know whether Obama asked Paterson to step aside in the race or not, but I think for Paterson to say that in spite of that, he's still running, says a lot about Paterson. I don't know one thing about Paterson, but either he loves the power he has or he's trying to prove that he can't be bullied out.

So far, Paterson has been a lame-duck governor for that state.
I don't think he was ready when Spitzer was tossed out. |

Thanks HJ, now I remember who Paterson is. He's the guy who had absolutely no notice when ole Elliott got exposed and he had to take over the post.
