The Sun ROTATES, a little faster at it's equator than out towards the poles (because the Sun is a PLASMA body instead of a solid). The average rotation period is about 25.4 days to make one complete rotation. So this means that the Sun rotates about 14-times faster than the Earth revolves around the Sun.

Put simply: We see 14 complete rotations of the Sun every Year.

This means there is NO BACKSIDE of the Sun relative to us, in the sense the Moon always has.
(And no, the Moon does NOT have a "dark-side" either. When the Moon is FULL, the Back-side is Dark. When the Moon is NEW, the Back-side is in full Sunlight. One "Day" on the Moon is ~28-Earth-days long).

CMEs can erupt just about anywhere. We will have the area which launched the last CME come around and facing directly towards Earth about the end of July. If another CME breaks from that same area in 4 -5 weeks, just leave a loaf of bread out on the lawn, 'cause it'll be TOASTED.
