I am not complaining, however it is very confusing now to know where to post things. Seems as though almost every general topic that was recently posted in the Avalon general discussions has been moved. Why?

Hi tone3,
That issue boggles my brain too. Carol seems to have the best handle on where things go. Does this quote help? "Project Avalon needs to be about GROUND CREW MATTERS to do with building communities, safe places and making connections for the same. Project Camelot is about finding the truth, anything to do with whistle blowers testimony, aliens, ufos, conspiracies etc." My special task as moderator is helping those who are low income and wish to ask for a "gift subscription" to the forum and helping those who wish to donate to the gift fund. I'll also point out while the preferred rate is $5 a month or $60 a year we also accept $1/mo or $12 per year. We are about $360 in the red in the gift fund if anyone is up for a donation to it. For help with a gift subscription or donation to the gift fund write to karen@projectavalon.net. And I'll see if I can round up some more help for you about your question. Karen |

Ok, good deal. I have no problems with posting in the Camelot General Forum instead. I was always under the impression that the Camelot General forum was for general discussions of the interviews done on Camelot and the Avalon was all other general discusssions. Then the specific regional forums in avalon where for building communities and safe places. Recently Bill and Kerry stated that they had come to the conclusion that it was not where and who you gathered with but who you where in your own paradigm. It seems as though there are so many different places to post that people (including me) are just saying screw it, and picking a couple of forums to post in. Perhaps there are to many different forums?

Do you mind if I change your subject line to
How do I know where to post a thread so it won't need to be moved? |

The structure of these forums works well for the organized file oriented type of individual. However, there is a good chance that the majority of the members to not fit that profile. The main reason that people are motivated to post in the General discussions instead of the other specific forums may be because they get the most feedback out of the general forums. When the member pulls up the page that has all of the different forums listed on it, it shows how many people are viewing each forum. The tendency of an individual trying to max out exposure of information is to place it where the most people are looking. The tactic of moving post to the proper area is a good one, but only if it is done consistently. If this practice is continued on a consistent basis, then the membership will more than likely adjust and start contemplating where to put their posts instead of just dumping them in the general forums. On the other hand, if long periods elapse with no movement of posts then suddenly massive quantities of posts are moved all at once, then the posting habbits of the membership will never change. |

I've not seen it before. I've had plenty of "terms of use violations" and "removed" but never "you're sitting on the wrong piece of ground so you can't watch." What a load of b*****ks.

Strange creatures? OMG! I would think they were aliens and move it to Camelot. That is unless they are a new bug species that gardeners need to be aware of.
