Heck, I put a notice up on my "status" board on facebook saying I hoped everyone knew what the Baltic Dry Index was and it's implication for them personally. But no one even batted an eyelash. Today I was talking to someone in an antique dealers about a wood stove you could cook on, and it was really obvious that this gentleman cannot even conceive that things will change in his life.

"Don't build all that alternate energy into your house, because no one will want to buy it" - I kept saying, yes, but what happens if you can't get power, can't get propane - and it was just beyond his capability to even imagine.

I can find local produce.

Yeah, I'm woefully underprepared and probably too optimistic.

Oops, was that Kansas City, Kansas or Kansas City, Missouri you were thinking of moving to?
Why are there two Kansas Cities?

Doesn't make sense to me.

It's futile to put anything up on Facebook. It's a novelty site. No one cares about disclosure and I've posted a few notes containing links to the Disclosure Project.

Blessings Humble Janitor,

One is in northwestern Missouri and one is in northeastern Kansas situated at the junction of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers.

Right across the river from each other, but different states, as I recall.
