I like your style and the way you think Kari Lynn. If the shtf I am making plans to get myself some very good weapons. I iz not going down until something hits me. I know that's not spiritual, but I am not going to form the lotus position while everyone around me (loved ones) are being (just the thought makes me angry). If I see anyone being abused, raped, tortured, whatever I will aim that little red spot on where I feel at the time and just take them out and discuss it with God after. Do they still make hand grenades.

I'm not sure what would happen, if the SHTF. I always thought I was more of a flight or fight person. But two incidents have proven that
when frightened beyond reason, I freeze to the spot I stand, nearly incapable of breathing. I can neither take flight or fight.
I do target practice myself. And a pretty good shot, if I say so myself. lol. But not quite sure how to get a perpetrator to stand in front of the target!
I'm not sure I could ever pull a trigger if I had a human being in my sights. Even if my life depended on it. Hope I never have to find out.

You'd be surprised at what people are capable of doing when their life depends on it...or even someone else's life in the right situation. When adrenalin gets released into your body you react without thinking...we may also get assistance from the other side too! I know when I was younger, there were several times in my life I've had help from "beings" that were there to assist me through life threatening situations.

With their help we manage to get through...and do what needs to get done when survival is the game.

Except that such a scenario is deeply-rooted in fear and that's not a healthy mindset.

When you kill someone else, you are not absolved. You still took their life and you will pay for it.

I believe in forgiveness in such situations as when one is protecting themselves or others. But if one is of such good and honest mindset, it would mentally bother them for the rest of their life (maybe even after) even though they were forgiven.

Did I say anything about killing anyone? Now that you mention it, if faced with the decision of having to take someones life that was about to take mine, I have no doubt in my ability to save my own life if my life is in danger. But, I'm not so sure you have to "pay" for anything when as a victim of a darker energy you are only doing what's necessary to save your own life. Bad things have happened to good people who have had to take extreme measures to save their own life, when you're looking pure evil in the eye you don't lay yourself down in sacrifice for fear of not being absolved - you do what you have to do to survive.

A person of pure intent who is victimized by evil's random acts of violence, shouldn't have to "pay" for self preservation, somehow I don't think the universe works that way. As a victim of violence the PTSD you suffer is payback enough...if that's what you mean by pay.
