And if I don't use that cupboard this winter, the mice will. I'm sure one of them has a tin opener. They're very savvy with the humane traps I leave out for them.
You know the type you put a stick in ? Well, they bring their own stick and prop my traps open... ![]() K P.S. I too bought teabags to barter. I've given up black tea. Yet again the jokes on me. I've got a stack of the stuff. I'm waiting for a calamity just so's I can offload my Tetley's 160s... ![]() P.P.S Don't get me started on incandescent lightbulbs. Anyone stock up on those too?? P.P.P.S We'll be 'stocking up' on cathode ray tubes next, cos they'll be banned soon too. P.P.P.P.S And when that's done, we'll be banned an' all ! |

I wouldn't force Beanfeast TM on anyone Mudra
![]() But those cupboards are going to get cleaned out. Probably at the same time as my liver ! I bought the book, Sauce , by the way...if you're reading. Came in the post this morning. Joking apart... I'm heartened at all the real changes we've made in the last year - even if that's just living each day like it will be your last (that you can log in to David Icke, PA, PC etc lolololol ) I eat different, I behave different, I love different. I still read too much online. This is one thing that's going to change though. I have an idea for a new thread as I write ! Thanks for your great and heartfelt suggestion Mudra. You are of course right. Peace n Love K |

Aww... I never left Avalon... I just stopped posting....
But now someone's got to get you guys out into the sunshine... or we'll all have a Vitamin D shortage and be nearsighted. Yep, not too hard to spot those pesky conspiracists when we get sorted out for the busses. We'll be the ones with a backpack full of loo-roll and tins of aduki beans, a rolled up obama-joker poster, and as white as the driven snow.... So according to the universal logic, in loving me, you love yourself, right ? See , this stuff really works... A connection made between friends and hearts is a connection. that connection exists whether the friends 'see' each other or not. So we are all connected here in various ways, whether we post or not. I am glad to still be connected to the friends I met here over a year ago - even though I never even spoke to some of them. But I think before my month is up , I will be pushing and cajoling some away from the PC... that's the computer I mean. The internet is a great connector for minds... I'm not sure how good it is at connecting hearts.... because when I type, I mostly think. It's not so easy to feel. The feeling comes in the pauses between keystrokes. Ergo, if we want a heart revolution, we need to go outside... Well, I do ! I know that for sure! Peace K |

Hey, just an 'out there' thought.
If the internet connects minds... then maybe that's the best medium for spreading fear... Hook into the internet... hook into the MATRIX. The internet stimulates the mind. Once stimutlated, it can watch videos, read stories, posts...assess risk, assess danger. So there is great potential for fear to develop as a result of these activities. So if I were a PTW or even a PTB, what a wonderful tool. MAybe the joke is on us... we think we have the internet, that information will give us the upper hand and save us, because they cannot keep anything secret. But there's a possibility the reverse is true, maybe they have given us this on purpose, or use it on purpose...our minds become occupied totally with daily browsing. We become slaves to the machine. Oh.. what do I know ?!! it was just a thought... |

![]() ![]() I blessed all of you good people of planet Earth. Humanity is sacred, Earth is glorious and Creation cares will prevail. No such plan of slavery will come to be reality. I say this with such certitude, because the presence within me tells me so. I listen to this voice and dialogue with it since many years and it never, ever, not even once, failed me. I bet if I listen to my intellect and analyze the situation without seeing the invisible hand of Creation at work that I might see the situation as very dire and hopeless. I think many have this PoV. I understand it and respect it. But, I got the responsibility to hold on to my dream and trust the presence within me who keeps saying words of wisdom and comfort, moreover I got to share it. In time of great tribulation, the needs to let the Hearts speaks out loud is the way. Not the brain, the heart. It is not that easy to distinguish one from the other, for some people yes, for others no. It comes easy with time. That's a message we have to share with our surrounding, especially those who do not listen, nor observe. Their subconscious will catch the message. Listen to your Heart. Namaste, Steven |

I believe in the ‘pendulum effect’. What I mean by that, is things and events just keep swinging back and forth. The world has had many recessions, many times of inflation, some times of growth, changes back and forth in political parties…and we keep moving on. We talk about going green, saving the environment, but don’t really put our money where our mouth is. The biggest problem our earth has is unchecked overpopulation. I consider myself to live in a country where the birth rate is no where near some other countries. United States has about 14.18 births per 1000 per year, we’re ranked 151 on a list of 221 http://www.indexmundi.com/g/r.aspx?v=25 What is chilling is to realize there are 3.8 times the number of people living in India as the U.S., and 4.3 times the number of people living in China as the U.S. There are 1.3 Billion people living in China!! Want to know where people live? Check it out here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._by_population I think the biggest problem facing our world is over-population. In fifty years (50), our world went from 2.5 Billion, to 6.7 Billion, that is a 2.6 fold increase. Think ahead. What does this mean for our grandchildren? What will it be like for them to be living 50 years from now? What will the world be like if the 6.7 Billion nearly triples to 15 Billion. Can you even image what problems our planet would face with 15 Billion living on it? Where would enough food be grown? Where would there be enough natural resources? Clean Water. Forests for wood. Agriculture land for growing food. Look what is projected for our supply of minerals: http://flowingdata.com/2009/04/24/ho...esources-last/ http://www.cavemanforecaster.com/200...depletion.html Where will we have enough DUMP sites to put our garbage??? If you’re thinking “oh, we’ll stop this increase before we get to 50 years in the future”… think again. Where is there one piece of evidence we have stopped any of this world’s growth in the past 50 years? The crisis’s we’re facing are because not enough of us are concerned about too high of a birth rate. Much of everything else we worry about pales in comparison to what problems are occurring because of increasing population. Last edited by KathyT; 09-19-2009 at 08:20 PM. |

On the other hand...
If you read my post on page two, you'll know that the wife and I are going thru a "bad patch" at the moment. I need to put that into some perspective, given what I saw just last nite. I went over to my daughter's place to fix a Kaput-er. Turns out I was also there for a reality check. (Life's like that! They outa sell tickets. I'd buy one) Let me start with.. A year ago: Son in law was just months coming out of recovery from a quadruple bypass heart surgery, at 42 (90% blocked). Yes that's young. T'was determined that the cause was not "life choices", but simply "luck of the draw", genetically speaking. Between them they have five children. Three hers, one his, and one theirs. (Let me say at this point that I am simply stating that as fact. NONE of them is ever treated in that manner by either parent. They're all just kids) Their only vehicle, unusable when it was hit. They were living in an old house on about 1/4 acre fenced off area of an 10 acre lot. They were feeding the kids by having joined an "underground poor-man's co-op" of sorts. A group of friends who all "scavenged" for food, then pooled and shared the result. It had the benefit that one of them worked for a local grocery store, and could take home "cast-offs". Enough of that, let's talk of the present. One year later: About 5 months ago, the wife and I sprang to get their vehicle repaired. We also "loaned" them our rather large riding mower, which can double as a small tractor. So off they went. He went looking for landscaping work, together they cleared the property they had, looking to start a small garden. First thing that happened was the property owner saw what they were doing, and asked about it. His reaction, "well take the whole 10 acres then, for the same rent, and do as you please." So.... What came of that were, pumkins, squash, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers and 1/2 a dozen spices, and more, so far (beans & carrots to follow soon). To the extent that they're giving away food to any poor sod fool enough to stop by. They're boarding 3 horses now, which I'm sure will attract even more. Landscaping? He and eldest son are currently working 2 good sized contracts (which came as referrals he gained from having covered nearly half the back of a woman's house with a 2-story multi-tiered deck which kept growing and growing because she was so pleased at what he'd built), and as soon as he's done, the city has chosen him to landscape a city "Veteran's memorial" they want to erect. The city has also expressed an interest in holding an annual "renaissance street fair", and want daughter to chair & organize the event for them. Daughter's mother (me "significant other in a previous wife-time"), after self-publishing childrens stories, activity/coloring books, recipe books and such, all with a wiccan bend to them, has now been published by 7th House Publishing, and has given daughter charge of the rest of her online business. So... where was I... Oh yeah! ... I'd finished fixing her Confuser, and was flat told I was staying for dinner. Wound up with a great soup, and stuffed bell peppers, and barring some of the spices, and the rice in the bell peppers the whole meal came off their place. Early in the visit, I shared my fear that, unless things changed, wife and I may lose our place. The thought of job hunting without a someplace to live worried me. She whirled on me like cat, "Won't happen! Comes to that, you're coming here!" I sometimes joke that I never got to fully raise my children, because they had the good sense to escape. But then when I look at my daughter, and her husband. how they've not just coped, and overcome, but flat turned down the meagerness and scorn that society can sometimes offer, and instead simply made up a life of their own, that not only works, but thrives... well, it's stopped me cold for crying at least twice while typing this (typing as therapy, perhaps).Maybe it'll lift someone else's day as well. It also reminded of two simple things which spoke volumes to me, when first I hear them. One is from Bradbury's "Martian Chronicles": "Life, is its own answer." and then... "Tis a joy to be simple, 'tis a joy to be free" Fred (who also dreams, no matter the scrooge he may often sound like)

Wow Fred this is a very touching story .. one from the Heart and as all of those genuine ones one that proves that miracles can take place .
I took a walk in the forest today turning right and left with no other plan in mind but to completely enjoy the ride and loose myself into it . At one point I realized that life offers us many hazardous roads to take but that you always have your inner path to walk safely upon ..With this in mind and faith within I found my way back home in a very easy way. If there is something in my life that never left me it is faith . Looking back at it I know that this alone got me out of the worst situations I could have dreamed of . Have no fear Fred you have an open heart and with this you are blessed . Would you and your wife have to leave everything behind and have no where to go TTC here in avalon is offering a life within a community in several spots for free. See this link for info : http://www.projectavalon.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=15664 And you can also contact Northern Sanctuary on this forum who is building a radiant zone in Canada. http://www.projectavalon.net/forum/member.php?u=1116 Love always mudra |

![]() Fred, what a story! I was cryin with ya, tears of sadness turned to joy. Thankyou for sharing that. It reminded me of my own troubles this past year, that I've been reluctant to share with anyone here. I guess I still hold on to that old garment of pride every now and then, not wanting to trouble others, and just always be happy, which for the most part I am. Anyhow, last August I met my mate, fell in love, and moved from southeast coastal Georgia to a very small country town in North Carolina. Before I moved, I had been growing and selling unique flowers (lilies, irises, amaryllis, tulips, etc) and was doing well with my little business. The flower business came about as a recommendation from my doctor that I find a hobby, since I had been diagnosed with lung cancer due to extensive exposure to chemicals that I used during the twelve years that I owned and operated a residential and commercial cleaning service. Anyway, I figured that I could sell flowers anywhere, so off to NC I went. Not long after arriving, I was introduced to the world of Avalon, UFOs/ETs/Conspiracies, etc, after having my own sighting. Now before that night of seeing the craft, I was a total non-believer. The craft was clearly not of this planet, and I immediately launched into what has become a year long investigation, that began when I found a video of Bob Dean and Neil Freer (UFO Insiders). Wanting more from Bob Dean, I found Camelot, then became a member of Avalon. During the winter months, I did my best to sell Amaryllis, didn't do very well, but I had plenty of time to look for the truth. I visited Avalon several times each day and followed up on what was written here. Since I was brand new to this reality, I felt unqualified to post anything, so I basically stayed silent most of the time. Well, springtime came and hopes were high for selling my flowers, and for about a month, I had lots of sales, then the recession hit hard and I understood that people had to eat rather than buy my beauties. My mate (who cares for the elderly) got extremely sick and lost his job of 6 years. We were hungry many times, but someone would always show up at the darkest hour, to buy something. After nearly 3 months out of work, one of my customers happened to need someone to take care of her 87 year old mother, and she thought of my mate, so he ended up with a better paying job under much better conditions than he'd had those 6 years. The flower sales just stopped, but we've been able to pay the mortgage and electricity and eat, so we're getting by. And, right after he got the job, my daughter and 4 year old grandson needed a place to live, so we were able to bring them here and take care of them too. Life has been tough, but I found something I've never had before; the purest love and sweetest spirit in my mate. I've learned to appreciate what money cannot provide. And the friendship of fellow truth-seekers is a treasure to me, but I would not have that if it wasn't for a generous soul who gave me a gift subscription to Avalon during my times of financial hardship. So to everyone who is about to give up hope, just keep believing and being kind to others, because you never know when someone is there paying attention that can and will help you. Love to all, and thank you for all that you've contributed to the past year of my life. |
