Wow, this is rich and pithy.
If Faith is Trust (Trust in God or in Good Karma or Justice), then Fear is NOT DISTRUST. Trust is being open; it's a 13. And a state (3) of being open is a 39 (3 x 13). Fear is VISCERAL; it grabs you. Fear is "fight or flight." Lots of people who distrust the matrix Not-See system are not at the point of "fight or flight." Let's say that Fear is -39 : and it means, "I'll never endure -- not here. Lemme outta here!" So fear is being completely shut down, 3 x -13 = -39. And it's reciprocal, -93, is condemnation, the inability to continue. Faith is 26, it's the CHOICE (2) to be Trusting -- NOT THE STATE (3) of Trust. So, the opposite of Faith, -26, is Avoidance -- the CHOICE to be Not Open (-13). Therefore, its reciprocal, -62, is lack of clarity. Isn't this fun? Shech-- Quote:

We all need some fear in our lifes in order to make the right choices. Eventually, these choices help us leap over that fear or barrier.

what does fear do in your life?
does it keep you powerless? does make you try harder and work on a cutting edge? if there was no fear at all, would you be naive? fear as a friend tells you what is giving you this fear-- then you can grow through it from what I can see all the answers here are from those who because of fear decided to use that same energy to educate or energitically work with this effect on their life. fear of the future? yep, but then in the face of a greater mystery and awareness of the unknown, would fear keep one in a corner? if there is fear does this have to be a bad thing in the knowledge of a greater negativity? does fear then teach you how to laugh, sing to ward off the negative effects of fear? if there were no greater negativity in our world we would possibly not be having this discussion. so while we are looking at fear, why not look at what you did positively because of what fear made you aware of? |

My offering here was not due to the influence of this word fear. To be afraid, to be apprehensive assists you in seeing value within yourself and others.
To fear fire for example: You know it can hurt you but you also know it brings warmth when used correctly. Fear like love is here to help us grow - the aim - to balance both. The result - freedom! Macros |

Nice thread all.
Wonderful contributions. What can I add? Fear, to my feeling, is a concept where you have no answer to a situation and thus are helpless in the closed box.. A little more information about what is going on, and how to avoid the possible outcome, makes fear go away.. Because you know (Or Assume!) how to avoid the outcome that was predicted by you. When I came to the USA, I wanted to make a museum, that would display all kinds of fears... People would be able to go in the museum with lots and lots of different rooms, and confront their fears without ever being in real danger. When I started to write all the contents of the rooms down, I ran out of paper... People are afraid of any and everything it seems... Not all people are afraid of the same things, and not all people at the same time... Most fears are even imaginary. Things that 'could" happen if all factors line up like dominoes in the same direction and one falls that triggers the whole sequence ending in the end result feared.. Now the ultimate fear seems to be death or personal death. and the number of concepts possible that have been created seem very limited... This while there is an infinite number of possibilities possible.. on a 50/50 bases with "lights out"... And when it is Lights Out... You won't even miss the light! Or remember that once you knew an illusion of light or that you knew anything at one time,. So we don't even have to bother worrying about that 50% of the inevitable.. The other 50% is based on what the religions tell us about it. And that is asssuming that in that infinity of possibilities, we found the ONE true reality and the ultimate bigger picture.... (imho the chances that that is true are a little slim, but why tell that to them followers that will buy (Or kiss a55.) their way to heaven. not?) Hell according to the Catholic Church, GoD is corrupt, since you can buy your dead relatives out of purgatory and straight into heaven..... As the quote goes, "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Not to mention the official spin off, (Needed for divorce of a king.) that when your parents loved you, you were still born in sin... So forget Heaven. As the quotes go, 6 Billion people can't be wrong. And you can't fool all the people all the time. Or can they, can you? And if you can, how? The journey through the n+4 dimensional rabbit hole continues... Where the hell we are going? Who cares? We are going, and we are aware that we are going. Now we can fear the journey, or start enjoying being aware of the ride. "When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen: there will be something solid for us to stand on, or we will learn to fly." - Patrick Overton Fear -> Intensity -> Minor Arcana -> Knight of Fire http://www.osho.com/magazine/tarot/T...?All=Yes&Nr=26 ![]() |
