I believe educating the youth of our planet is paramount to our survival. Educating them to look to their inner selves to find answers to their haunting questions in this ever increasingly insane world. I teach history/spirituality at a private high school, and i am lucky enough to have much leeway in my topics of discussion. I am hoping that anyone who had ideas or information that could be helpful in teaching to children what i and others have called "Conciousness Science". Organized, classroom-like material would be much appreciated!
May wisdom guide your compassion................. |

My children went to Catholic School up through the 8th grade. Even though I am very much NOT a Catholic (or any religous anything) I did like the structure in which they were taught. They were taught actual GRAMMAR SKILLS for example. By the time they got to Public High School they were more then ready. The Public High School we sent them to (We had to use our option of School of Choice) is one of the better ones in our area. For example our son was allowed to take Russian for 4 years and both of our children were on the Academic Decathlon Team for their school. Which they took the State Crown more so then not. So with all of that my wife and I are thankful. However, we cannot 'teach' them Wisdom. We can show/explain to them that they have the opportunity to acquire wisdom. It is something only they can do on their own. I was taught that Wisdom is Knowledge Applied. I add to that equation by stating it is Knowledge Applied PLUS Experience. Other words making mistakes is a sure fire way in which to acquire Wisdom. My only complaint (Well, I actually had many 'complaints'...hehe) was these Religious Schools try to push Right Wing Propaganda on the students. Our children saw through that from an early age. Mostly on there own. By know means am I critizing you. What you are trying to do is very noble and loving. When you are asking about 'Consciousness Science' do you mean the Science of Consciousness? I am a bit confused to what you are asking of us....that is all. If it is the Science of Consciousness then I found this weblink. Here: http://www.science-of-consciousness.com/ |

here is a bit of the idea i posted on my website http://www.thesynchronicitygrid.com/...pleeffect.html. below is just an idea for a part of the curriculum. another idea i had is to have a class where communication would be done with symbols only. the children i have introduced this to, love it. teach young children about their brains with song. this idea has been rolling around for a while. i have been actively seeking a composer if you will and a bit of help with the lyrics of this song for over 2 years. as of yet, i have not found them. this idea came to me as i was writing the business plan for a project that is still on the burners, so maybe this could fire it up once again. think about sesame street for a bit. do you guys remember that song "a bill is a bill" (not sure about the title), but it was a jingle. it was a way for children to memorize the structure of our government. now i magi ne using this same technique to fire up the brain with one song. each part of the brain would light up when it was being described and around the horn it would go. i even had a nice play for parents night planned out, and then thought that a you tube video would work just as well with animation. and if you really wanted to get crazy, just go ahead and add the frequency of the particular part of the brain into the background music.
