Default What future are you preparing for?

I'm curious to know what stage Avalon is at as a whole. Theres a lot going on right now in the world right now and more to come so its understandible that a person would get confused along the way while looking for the truth.

So honestly, ask yourself this question. What future have you got in mind?

* War, Hunger, Disease, Corruption, Genocide, Rape, Murder.. pretty much more of what were havin for lunch right now.

* Peace, Prosperity, Enlightenment, Knowledge, Wisdom, Love, Trust, Acceptance. The amazing abilities that come with all this stuff. If everyone would just get their act together, or as my uncle would say, **** or get off the pot.

Theres really only two choices when you break it down. And that choice is between love or fear. It sounds like an easy choice. Anyone would pick Love, right? Well.. in theory maybe, but the fact of the matter is as much as people would like to focus on love they tend to surround themselves with negativity and eventually fall back into their fear succombed ways. This can happen all too easy. We live in a very negative world. Damn near 98% of the population is "trained" to think in a certain way. They are completely brainwashed. And im not just talkin about the adverts that subliminaly mindfcuk you into buying their washing up liquid. Im talking about the hardcore conditioning weve been getting since we walked into school and boxed our minds off. This entire control system is built on fear. It would simply fall apart if the majority of the planet adopted a positive loving attitude. And thats what were up against. No matter how much i advertise i'll never reach anything near the volume of people that television reaches.

I know this is long, oops. But its important that we get a survey here. I'm only asking that you be honest. How many doom and gloom posts have you read today? How many negative posts have you posted? Did you give your attention away to the news for a moment only to find yourself pondering about the latest war thats being broadcasted.

These things are very important. When people are in a negative state of mind, a lot of the time they do not realise their being negative. Because the emotional state does not change drastically enough a lot of the time for the person to notice it. Negativity creeps up on you like a tick. Then it sucks the positive vibes you got flowin.

So, be honest, thats numero uno. And its important becase theres ways negativity can be changed directly into positivity. If you want to know where you'll be in the future, where's your head at now?

Or both. You've defined it as either/or, it could be defined as an "and" statement.

in honesty ... i am allowing for the only future i know ... a future of love ...

i know and feel it within every cell of my body as i do within my higher self ...

a future of love is all i can allow for ... not because i have convinced my self of this ... but because i am this ...

i have spent my life breaking through my prison of fear ... i am now so close to freedom of my heart ... there is no going back ... there is only forward ...

onwards to love ...

for me ... fear is in my rearview mirror now ... and it will become smaller and smaller within my future ... until one day ... i no longer even look back ... for i know it no longer exists ... for any of us ...

No more this or that. Choice comes from confusion. When you have certainty, there is no choice of the red or blue pill. Choice is a duality ego concept, that supresses intuition. Choice is about me.

The sun comes up without choosing, and the salmon swims upstream because its in his nature. He doesn't call the turbulent currents ,and the hungry bears he runs into, doom and gloom, because there is a knowing, that causes him to return to the place of his origin.

Choosing comes from doubt

KNOW THY SELF NOT CHOOSE THY SELF

I'm preparing for the worst (collapse of civilization) but working towards the best (peace, love, and plenty). More of the latter than the former. I think that we will get the future we prove that we deserve, which is why I think it is important to not view the future as something that is going to happen to us (victim mentallity). Rather, it is something that we will create together by our efforts, or lack thereof, for good or for bad.

living in the moment. trying to. LOL.. I keep going back not forward. I just counting on change. I think the system will change in our life time. and I don't really see the need to prepare to much. I don't need money or land. I'm not over stocking food. But have a small reserve. and a gun. I'm looking into building a bow. I do look to the community a bit and need to more. I just talked my friend into going big with a garden. and were busy dbl digging the frunt yard. I do try to wake people up. point out information. and shake the room up at party's. LOL!! the way I see it is I'm just going to die anyway. I don't need much. maybe a pine box. or just throw me on Eggs 50' fire. and feed my ashes to the fish. I just haven't bought into all the hype even about retirement. maybe I should. but I don't.

and as far as the pole shift. what ever happens, happens. Ill solve that issue as it arises. and if I have warning. I have wet suits, scuba tanks, boats. I just might go under the wave. LOL!!!

politics isn't my thing. Ill do what I can when I can to change things. I don't see that its time just yet. but its getting closer. I do think not paying taxes would get there attn. I'm looking onto that.. and perhaps going off grid. but I'm not set up for that now. I think this may be the short term solution. sure hope everybody joins in and we can kick these bums out.

I'm really not preparing for anything in the future, the knowledge I have gained over my lifetime is what has prepared me. I've learned to laugh at everything, doom and gloom, the future, death, everything! because we don't die! So does it really matter what the future brings? no, there is only now! Knowing what I know now, the future can only be better because there's absolutely no fear at all, of anything!

We can all be standing outside watching a giant meteor falling towards earth and I'll be the one to say "at least it's not raining" LOL

The future will be bright so bring a nice pair of sunglasses!

Yes, it may be fear and love that are the only parameters that guide, and I think fear has its purpose as much as love.
My understanding is there is always a third choice, if not an infinite number and splicing things down like that is a trap. So I'm with 777 on this one.
Walking your truth is always an infinitely thin line between yes and no and only a concrete situation can teach you this.

i have 33 years of work invested into project exchange
so, i have the **** - its just not quite finished
good work is good work
however, there are a lot of things,
like drawing/and, photography, i can't do myself
and, i need to earn more money, in order to finish it properly

also, i have to work first, to pay my bills, & mortgage,
and, creating awareness, has been very important,
actually more important, than earning money,
and, in the last 6 months, i have put in over 2200 hrs,
just creating awareness, and, helping other people
which i love to do

over 6000 emails to people - helping them, off the list

i would love to escape this house
and, get my hands, on my equity (which is hundreds of thousands of dollars)
but, i need to do, a 5K reno, that, would get me, approx 30K more
(and, i don't know, whether to sell, as, is--
or, try, to pick up 30,000 more) ???

rebecca J, said, to me today - sell it, as is, right now

(perhaps, she's right, my equity would start a great city of light)

& i suppose,
if i had NOT spent those 2200 hrs on the internet
i'd likely have gotten the book done
however, i also, i would NOT have gained the experience
of chatting online, to so many people,
and, making so many friends, which really is great

as, an intj - we tend
to like our own company, so, being here,
has definitely helped me to expand & grow
& forced me out, into the world

NOW, i need to spend 7 days to get my accounting done

I NEED HELP !!!
& i can't seem to FIGURE out,
how to ask for it, or, how to find it ???

any suggestions would be welcomed !!!

thank you

Susan, you are much like the rest of us... we do things, talk things, learn things... and sometimes all of it is distraction from figuring out our next step...

For me, I have accepted where I am, fully... THAT is a statement of fact...
acceptance comes before movement.

Thus I am in the now... and when my mind flies into a "future" scenario, I become
distracted from being present now.

It's an experential thing, not an intellectual one...
I prefer the experiential of hightened consciousness, as my mind can run circles around most people I know when it comes to intellectualizing.

If I die (as Cliff High spoke recently w/St Clair)... considering the probabilities that we are facing... that death will be fairly swift!< OK... that is preferable over a slow, lingering demise.... I've accepted and made peace w/my "karmic" role this run...

g'nite... I'm up way past my bedtime.

The future I'm planning for is one without electricity. How to be self-sufficient should the grid go down. We have all the materials to put in our aquaponics system and are just waiting for the rain to let up to get started on it. As for everything else.. the only thing one has is the present so the present is where it is at for us.

I'm prepared for both i believe that its better to believe that there will be a positive change and as much as i try to avoid negativity it is easier to be positive when also prepared for the worse, which i believe I am.

I'm living for the day, no more worrying about tomorrow.
I'll be taking each day as it comes.
The future! Well we will just have to wait and see.
The best we can ask for is that peace and harmony reigns over everyone.

OK. I hate to give everyone a "downer" - its wonderful to hope for the best to pray that everything will work out well. Imagine being a Jew in 1930s Germany. First, it started with small things - "Germans don't buy from Jews" signs appeared in Jewish shops, then books were burned, then Jews were sent to jail for 20 years if they had guns...(I don't need to continue).
If you believe people like Jim Marrs - the Nazis were taken to America via operation paperclip and now its beginning to happen here in the USA. (Especially since G Bush's great grandfather was prosecuted in the 1940s as a Nazi financeer). I think the future is going to be worse than WWII - there will be concentration camps and you will be forced to take a computer chip in your body. Theres still time to avoid this, but with 90% of the population asleep, I doubt we can avoid this.

From the 3 conditions that are needed to participate, this is the problematic one. I'm often helping people out whenever I can and being truthful is my second name. Perhaps I'm too direct. One could argue whether that is positive or negative.

My world views aren't all that positive. I can't help it. It's just that I've been following politics and the world economy/stock markets for the past 10 years and I can't help but conclude that the future looks grim. I personally don't consider this as being negative, just realistic. But if some friends tell me I'm way too negative, it might not be a bad time to change.
On the other hand, it might be a problem to force myself to be positive about the future when deep in me I know I'm lying to myself...

As it has been said for a long time, the old ways of materialism were bound to crumble. The writing has been on the wall and still most people I know have their heads in the sand. It's a bit too much for them, I think. Looking at the unfolding from a perspective with a light beam on it helps us keep our balance as it gets rougher. It's said over and over, but bears reminding ourselves to keep away from the fear vibration.

I think this is the main issue with most things. Just pop over to the 'Singles' thread and listen to people suggesting to 'stop looking'. How exactly do you stop looking if you stop with the intention of finding?
I guess letting go is the only coherent and sensible concept left.
