Default Re: Is Jesse Ventura's conspiracy theory show questionable?

Unlike the Team Avalon members, all the stuff were seeing on his show is like putting your big toe in the water for those who have never been out side of the box. The main thrust of his show is to really get people asking the questions they already knew they should ask and reinforces the reason why to ask them without being calls nuts as many of us have outside of this group, so I say bring it on and good job.

As for all of Avalonins here, we already know all the issues Jesse is bringing up and way beyond due to the talent in this think tank here from all around the world, we have a great group here with tons of perspectives.

Whatever you think of his show, it;'s doing the job it was intended to do as Gungswan said , people are asking questions and there now not afraid to ask because after all it was on TV now and like it or not validated by someone we know and respect for there service. I still remember Jesse Venturas definition of gun control, Oct 1999 / USA today newspaper, full page ad- Quote " Being able to stand at 25 meters and put 2 rounds in the same hole, thats gun control ".

No, but I had to practice some.

Do you expect the truth from your local "news reader" on TV? How about the guy from the Network, at dinnertime?

"Yeah but that is all indoctrination, anyway."

Wait.. don't skip ahead. That isn't where the lie is manufactured. 99% of them don't know they're doing anything but passing along the "news". Mostly they're involved with how they're doing, compared to their competitors. Oh most are aware they are in the business of selling fear, but not for fear's sake.

What they're about is much simpler.
Fear sells advertising.
And a TV SHOW either sells advertising, or it's gone. Almost every successful show, of this type is about that.

Now, occasionally you get a show that begins by selling something different: Dissatisfaction. But that is dangerous, and easy to stop. It is almost impossible to sell dissatisfaction without running afoul of important (big, rich) sponsors. They don't like paying for air time that informs the public about what morally vacuous things they are.

So, in the process of becoming successful the subjects slowly change from dissatisfaction, to fear. Thats is what keeps people's adrenaline level high enough to keep them from switching channels, through the commercials. The gatekeeper isn't some "secret cabal of half-humans", sitting in the dark somewhere, pre-viewing everything you're going to see. No longer necessary. All TV shows must face a much stricter, more efficient right of passage:
"It either sells soap, or it's gone."
Simple, and low maintenance. If Jesse continues, he will run up against this, and have to make a choice.

I like Jesse. But Duncan was a one-off. My heart also goes out to Duncan. He epitomizes one of the key things I object to about our military: They will "hump and dump" human beings with absolutely no sense of loyalty, and no remorse. All to feed a paranoia that will kill a President, rather than force them into facing same.

The show I would like to see Jesse do?
How about a full show with Duncan, and a "handler", and a trainer of such people, all explaining how the system works, and what it is used for, and such.

Not only would that show go a long way to "waking people up" (), but it is something I gather Duncan desperately needs to heal.

Anyway... this post is a bit longer than the last one, Simone. Better?

The program in itself is mostly staged when the four people get round the table to hack things out and Jesse tells them what he wants, but that's understandable as there needs to be some objective organizing behind the scenes to make the program viewable.

We must remember that there is only so much one can put in a single TV program, so many ideas which perhaps we may think are important may be left out of the show, and the program can be followed more easily with just one or two 'major points'.

The program is not for the deep rooted conspiracy theorist as it does only skim over the surface of the subject, but I think is more geared to the newbies of the onspiracy theory ring, perhaps to stimulate them into doing ore of their own research in trying to find out the truth.

Best regards,

Steve
Thanks for the good input.
