I, too, have used the term "sheeple". I know that I, personally, meant no disrespect to those who were uninformed or those who refuse to look. Although I think the word definitely has it's place, it CAN be overused. Perhaps, for many circumstances, it can be replaced with the phrase "less enlightened". That seems to have a less critical and more hopeful tone to it.
