The relentless Patagonian wind parks icebergs along the edges of Lago Grey.
These icebergs calve from glacier Grey, a minuscule offshoot of the massive Southern Icefield (Campo de Hielo Sur)
that pervades the peaks of South America's Andes mountain range in Patagonia.
The Icefield is over 350 km long, with a mean width of 35 km and average ice thickness greater than 1 000 m.
