And legalizing drugs so they can be taxed is the same, in my books. Taxes are used mainly to enrich the PTB and deprive the rest of us so we are too busy to notice what the PTB are up to.

The answer is for us to simply "fire" the PTB and then just live naturally, in mutual cooperation and respect.

Then is someone wants to take some drugs, that's there business. No muss...no fuss.
You won't see it while the powers that be are in power
for several reasons.

1. the american drug lords (poppy bush inc) won't tolerate competition.

2. The draconian drug laws have been highly productive
on several fronts.
a. they provided a means to justify the swat team
police state; kicking in doors and shooting
elderly ladies.
b. they desensitized the public to the above police
state tactics
c. they allowed a toe hold for another subset of laws
which have experienced wildfire mission creep into
other areas of law. These are the forfeiture laws
allowing government to seize private property
without recourse.
3. They are now using these laws and the swat model to expand the definition of a drug to commonly
available substances such as stevia, pyridoxine, water, even mothers breast milk are in danger
of being classified as drugs rather than food supplements. Gestapo tactics and stevia are legendary.

4 FDA is radically expanding power and scope intruding into DEA turf in preparation to strike down
the food drug and cosmetic act in favor of codex alimentarius allowing them to rule every aspect
of what you can and cannot put into your bodies. Just imagine a license required for a mother to
breast feed, or forfeiting your home and land for growing a tomato. That is where this is going. All
thanks to the war on drugs.

From a tyrant's perspective, the war on drugs has been
very productive indeed at bringing this society to it's
knees.
