I had a great-grandmother that came from there. The border is only 55 minutes away. The only reason that I don't go to Canada alone is because of a bad experience with customs back in 2001 where they searched my car and held me for a hour or so. All I wanted to do at that time was shop at a duty-free shop! I just didn't read the signs better before I crossed the border.
