Default Nebraska

If anyone in interested in starting a SOC in the Southeast Nebraska Area please feel free to communicate with me. I live in Lincoln NE and I have a small farm in Beatrice. We currently have a very small group of people who follow the work of Project Camelot and the work of others and are always looking to build a stronger community.

New poster here and would like to stress the importance of SOC's wherever your current residents are and the surrounding areas. In the coming years it will be very important for people to be mobile and self reliant. As things get progressively worse and we begin to see an Argentinean like collapse here in the U.S. the only things that we will be able to rely on are mass hysteria, FEMA camps, and the people we trust with our lives.

Organizing a self sustaining mobile collective could mean anything from having a common safe house, training together, sharing supplies or just people that group together for a common goal.

So Questiny and I are sending out a call to those in our area that are of like mind and wish to share, learn and seek truth together. We will both be continuing to educate and enlighten all we come into contact with.

If you are new to the idea of SOC's and would like to learn more, please feel free to drop either of us a line.

Let's get together!

I posted this on the KC and SE Kansas, and Iowa threads. I live about an hour away from the Iowa border. I would like to get a Big group together asap. drop me a line!

I have a large office, a former large classroom with blackboards and Ballroom with full kitchen at my disposal for events if we need them.

I am very well versed on what's going on and very gung ho!

I posted in the SE Kansas Thread too so let's get the ball rolling and get together!

When do you want to get a meet up together? Should we set up something at www.meetups.com???

Thank God. MortalCoil and I were getting worried that there was nobody in our area. It would be prudent for us to network.

I agree totally.

I have been looking onto forming a co-op for a former missle silo not too far from Beatrice/Lincoln. it needs to be refurbished but is the best place if subterranean shelter is needed.

Let me know if this might be of interest to the group to pursue. I am more than willing to help in whatever capacity to further the needs of our chapter.

jonathan

ps-Do we have a web site???

This may prove useful. I will see if MortalCoil will check it out for us if you like. We were planning on building an underground shelter beneath one of our large garages but a missile silo, that's good.

Check out :

www.misslebases.com

The Wilbur Nebraska site is the one I'm looking at. That's not far from you at all...

Let me know what you think.

Here's a closer example of what it can start out like and what it can be refurbished to...

I am terribly sorry for not replying to this I can't believe I missed it! And shame on you Questiny for posting such details on a public forum! You should know better than that!

Yes I agree, we should collaborate. I tried to view those links you sent me, one was a 404 error and the other looked shady at best. Could you repost them?

As always, Jonathan, I'd love to be informed as to any plans of a get together. While I may not choose to be a part of this collective, I'd be very interested to be in on the discussion.

Exclamation Re: Nebraska Self Organizing Collective Lincoln/Beatrice/Omaha

Ok, I'll act as the committee Chairman for the KC and surrounding area meetup this weekend. lol

Let's meet at 75th Street Brewery in Kansas City off of Wornall on , yes, 75th street!

I'll arrange for the private party room in the back so we can hear each other. lease let everyone you know that is interested. Time of the meeting will be 6:00 to 9:00ish PM, if it goes longer, great!

Bring your laptops if you have something to share. If anyone has a digital recorder with USB capability or camcorder and tripod to record the conversation, please let me know so we can post it for those who are unable to attend. Thank you.

Drop me a line here on the forum if you're bringing one to avoid multiple instances.

Leave a message on here if you are able to attend or if you're unable to attend. As well, what would be a convenient time in the future for you.

I really look forward to meeting you all!

Jonathan

Thumbs up Re: Nebraska Self Organizing Collective Lincoln/Beatrice/Omaha

Jonathan

It was great chatting with you!!

I hope we get the five or so people needed to make the meeting worth while tomorrow (Sunday) night. Count me in!

Thanks for stepping up to the plate and getting things going. I’m here to support you in any way I can.

75th Street Brewery what a superb idea!

Due to the lack of response on a meeting of local and area group members I have decided to reschedule the meeting at the 75th Street Brewery in Kansas City to next Saturday, the 27th of September at 6PM.

Hope to see you there!

It's looking fairly likely that I'll be making it to this meeting. I might possibly be bringing a friend, one who does film work. What are your thoughts on having him film the meeting?

Hello all!

I want to take a moment to impress upon everyone the necessity of getting together this weekend. I'm sorry if I'm being "serious" here, but there is quite a heavy gravity to the situation right now. Anyone that knows me would tell you I am not a SERIOUS person at all. So please take me seriously here on a little analogy for the moment.

If the economy came to a screeching halt tomorrow before our meeting and everything went hell in a hand basket, where would you be?? No plans, no on group to work with, nothing. You're on your own, right?

Second scenario, you come to the meeting, people meet each other, we codify some core issues, we have phone numbers, addresses, and starting plans galore.

Which situation sounds more confrontable???

There are only two ways you can be wrong in this physical universe of ours.

Over or under estimation of effort.

I would much rather overestimate the amount of effort in our current situation and have people of a like mind to survive with etc. myself. Not to mention the scenarios beyond that which need more data evaluation and estimation still...

How about you?

Please listen to the new George Green audio posted yesterday. If 50% of the things occur, we are in big trouble. Maybe they won't at all, but, at least we can be prepared and ready if for nothing at all.

Please attend this weekends meeting in Kansas City for yours and everyone else's sake. Sorry to be so hard core, but it gets the point across.

Thank you.

Yes both questiny and I realize the gravity and the importance of having a collective in the vicinity. That's why we support this 100%

You mentioned if we have a website, I am a webmaster and would be delighted to build something for us here. Lets shoot some ideas around on how we'd like it and I'll get to work on it.

As I've mentioned before, I will be attending with a friend who does novice filmmaking. He and I, assuming there are no objections, would like to film the meeting. If you plan on hosting a web site, this film could be downloadable to folks in the area who are unable to attend.
Good stuff happening, folks!

Questiny and Mortal Coil,
If Jonathan doesn't respond to your request for a map, please let me know.
