Default 'Flying saucer' lights spotted in the sky

STRANGE flying objects have reportedly been spotted hovering around in the South Devon skies.
Witnesses claim to have seen a 'flying saucer' type craft with flashing red lights in the skies over Teignmouth and Newton Abbot.
The first sightings were on Sunday between 5.30pm and 6pm over the skies of Newton Abbot and Kingsteignton.
John Rayner, of Kingsteignton, said: "I could see circular objects following each other up through the sky. They were red lights with a kind of orangy-coloured bottom.
"My son saw them as well. We did not know what to think."
Newton Abbot woman, who did not wish to be named, saw the same.
She said: "My husband and son were taking the bins out last night and saw a line of red lights bigger than stars ark across the sky, one light broke away from the group and then returned to it. All in all they were visible for about five minutes."
Keith Merritt, of Mill Lane, Teignmouth, says his son encountered something more sinister at 6pm on Monday while walking to sea cadets.
Keith said: "A circular object about the size of a car followed him down Mill Lane.
"The object was hovering above the houses, was revolving and had a number of lights emanating from it.
"After a few minutes he started running in an attempt to escape the object."
Government department the Ministry of Defence was unable to comment on the sightings but a spokesman said: "The MOD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity."
