In my younger days when I was musically active, if my instrument started to resonate, I'd be embarrased and stop playing.

So, in my world, anything or anyone that resonated would be taken to one side and given a good talking to. Failing that, a good dunking in cold water could be benficial. (For both the resonator and the resonatee.)
