Since the other one is closed, I'll post here.
I'm here to gather info and perhaps be better prepared for what is coming. I like Project Camelot. I've received so much value from there and go there often. I'm not here to criticize any other person as we all have our opinions and that is what gives life value. When I read someone's testimony, I evaluate it for myself. So, if and when this goes subscription, I will move on and look elsewhere for my info. This is certainly not the only place to get information on what is coming and the tools and info to help us survive. there are many other good sites and lots of good books out there. I'll stay with Camelot. Goodbye and peace to all. Graig ![]() |

Just to clarify a point here. I know of no subscription planned for tomorrow.

hello Carol, I read yesterday that Bill and Kerry are going to decide by tommorrow if they are going to make "parts of Project Avalon " on a subscription basis. They suggested a $5.00 a month fee/or $30.00 a year.
I can't find the name of the thread in my notes, it was started by Arcora, possibly it was called"Project Avalon Membership and Subscriptions. It had over 100 posts, I know that because i wrote down some of the suggestions of members. Suggestions were offeres that it be on a Donation basis (post #64, by Phtha), or (Peace4Gaia, in post #62) suggested a Link up with Cafepress.com and selling T-shirts, Posters and other items to rasie funds. Carol, Bill wrote in twice, (posts#1 and #19). I hope this info helps. I'm a detail person, and take notes of the forums I read and this was one of them. I hate to see anyone have to leave the group. Yet I used to put on Parties for a singles group, and it always cost me money I didn't have to put out-yet after making the commitment I felt obligated to follow throught with the plans, Just as Bill and Kerry do here. Blessings to all, Kimmie |

Let me explain I am not grandstanding nor trying to demean this forum in anyway. I make my previous statement written in the thread that was closed hopefully more clear.
I will stay until it becomes subscription, then I can no longer stay. I must take any monies and prepare for the community here, which some have\have not prepared. I am guided within not by outside influences and this is how I live my life. If that money helps feed one more person then that is what I am to do. It has nothing to do with Avalon at all. I appreciate all the work and devotion Kerry & Bill along with the whistle blowers have contributed to this forum and Camelot. Along with the forum members themselves most all are great and provide tips that have helped to prepare. I do realize this cost money not to mention no pay for the personnel nor the creators. Please remember this friends, in this world it still takes material gain to operate and continue to do so, one day that may change but as of this writing that is not the case. I can do my own research so I have become lazy having found most of what I need within this site. I will leave the donations offered to those friends who cannot search and find what they need so easily and to the new arrivals. Much of the information needed while it is available all over the net, it was convenient and the ease of use to find the exchange of information mainly located within one website is a fresh approach even in it's infancy. Again, I sincerely appreciate all that has been shared with me, some things just clicked while reading a post, so off I went to find that information. It has been a wonderful experience and when I leave it will be with only a few regrets that a few are no longer with us, also I will leave something that was to be extremely a positive flow of information\networks. Thanks for everything contributed. Trish Last edited by Trishsgate; 09-30-2008 at 08:22 AM. |

Me, I am very sad at the thought of people having to pay or be shut out. I know it costs money to run the site, and I suppose B&K would find it nice if we paid for their jet-setting. But most of us are trying as hard as we can to get by. No, I cannot pay $30 a year. I have offered to help moderate, there are many things I'd be willing to do to help out. But that just barters for my own membership. What about all the others who can't pay? Apparently, the decision has been made that these people aren't worthy of the information, and the assumption is there, too, that since they are poor they must have nothing worthwhile to offer. How Old-Paradigm is that??? If there is to be no subscription charge, then there has been a lot of uproar and hurt feelings over nothing. This too, damages the integrity of the forum. We are owed an apology, if this is the case. Some members have made it clear that they think those who can't pay should just go get drunk. If that's where the forum is headed, it's all over. So....goodbye. I've made some good contacts here that I'd like to keep. My email address is dlmbrt@sbcglobal.net. Some of you have my cell phone or know where I work...keep in touch! We're not gonna save ourselves sitting in front of the computer anyway. Stay in touch....give each other face time...forget about supporting these folks' business plan. |

Hey
There isnt much in this forum that cant be found anywhere else. In fact the most important and enlightening information ive found here is posted by the members, not the staff or the whistleblowers. In times like this, doing business by currency is a bad idea. There are many people here willing to help out in their own ways and i hardly think forcing them to pay so the can be privvy to certain information is going to be constructive. Why not post a thread stating how much you guys need to pay the next site bill, i'll chip in if i know what im paying for. I just gave 150 quid to someone who builds houses for aids victoms, im capable of such things even though i dont have the money. Id help out with moderation but im not quite sure that im going to have the time to do that, ****s about to hit the fan very quikly (mark my words, if im wrong send me a pm and we'll drink cider and celebrate). Theres lotsa people who would much rather chip in in their own uniqe way rather then pay money.. moneys quickly becoming a thing of the past. Follow the future, thats service to others. Your provide me with information i will help pay the site costs. A problem halved (or 100thd) is a problem shared. |

I want neither pity, charity nor sympathy from anyone here. I will just add this; If this wonderful forum does cost to share, I must be true to those counting on me for tangible goods and leadership by action and deed.
It is not a matter of value, not a matter of quality, nor effort spent on the part of the team. It is a question of common sense and want vrs need. I know the difference and so I will be with you in thoughts but not presence when it goes to $$$. Till then, Please know I value you all, most especially those that challenge, comment and occasionally make me grit my teeth! ![]() |

Thank you all for your posts. However, Bill and Kerry are in Europe and we have nothing set up that I'm aware of at this time to start a subscription process. It would be nice if folks just relax and continue to enjoy what is here. We are still discussing this for the future but nothing has been set for now. The original date givien was premature as there is so much work going on that every one underestimated what was needed before this part of the forum went to subscription. I don't think the Camelot Forum will be subscription. However, I would hope everyone would be able to access the information forthcoming irrespective of a subscription or not.
Be at peace... enjoy the present.

Lets all just take a deep breath...
the moderators have a large task running the gauntlet betwixt the many types of extremely fervent subscribers here at Avalon... and for that tireless job, they are to be thanked. Thank you... Now, onto the topic of the "F" word: Subscriptions FEEs: Since we are witnessing an election that is constantly touting "transparency" as a magical adjective... why not follow suit here at Avalon? Perhaps the best model is that of listener sponsored radio in which fund drives from time to time set a VERY SPECIFIC TARGET AMOUNT. Once that MONETARY GOAL IS REACHED, THROUGH VIEWER/LISTENER DONATIONS, THE DRIVE IS FINISHED. That way, nobody is crying foul and the conspiracy folk out there can rest their weary minds that the so called "huge sums of profit" flowing into and under Bill and Kerry's mattress isn't going for Prada boots. Perhaps, like listener sponsored radio, during these fund drives annoying messages ( ![]() Following this model, perhaps when one pledges (at least a set minimum amount), the blinking pledge banners cease for them... Furthermore, when the goal is reached, the banners stop flashing for EVERYONE, regardless if they paid or not. I know that I've pledged to the likes of KPFK, KXLU, KCRW, and KPCC just to shut 'em up and restart normal programing! Maybe they could even offer premiums like... oh, I don't know... "WIN A DINNER DATE AND MASSAGE WITH HENRY DEACON!!! PLEDGE NOW!!" or "IF you pledge RIGHT NOW at the ARCH ANGEL LEVEL: WIN YOUR OWN BILL RYAN SAFARI HAT " (just joking)... or am I??? (I love that bloody hat!)... Wait.. one more: "PLEDGE NOW TO ENTER THE FABULOUS AVALON SWEEPSTAKES TO WIN GEORGE GREEN's GOLD! (insert FLASH animation of George Green wearing an eyepatch speaking with a pirate accent: "ARGH, you'll NEVER git me gooold... UNLESS YOU PLEDGE TODAY!"... (what? too much?) Seriously though, keep it transparent... set a goal... reach the goal... and then back to "bih-nizz" as usual. Just a thought from the peanut gallery... ![]() |

Has anyone actually read the Subscription thread posted by Bill properly...?
If you had, this line would jump out at you:"we'll make certain 'drill-down' parts of Avalon available for a very modest subscription.." Certain drill-down parts! Not the whole forum, or Project Camelot, certain drill-down parts! Bill & Kerry are incommunicado for at least another week & have left NO INSTRUCTIONS for me to make any parts of Project Avalon subscription only If any members feel they have to leave because they've been mis-informed about subscriptions then it is a sad day indeed.. |

Project Avalon is a place where we can get together and share with others. It's Us helping. It's sad watching members carry on as though it's all about what can be done for them.

Hi All,
After thinking some more and releasing on some feelings, I could support a monthly fee. Bill and Kerry have helped us so much. I have gotton information at Project Camelot that I could not find elsewhere. I really do appreciate what they have done for us all. It does cost to do something like this. I would be in favor of something more creative as there are many who can not afford to pay anythng. This information should be avaiable to all regardless of financial situation. Graig ![]() |
