What if they had done it differently?
I mean, from the perspective of the last century, and maybe I'm a century late with this idea, but anyway, one of the reasons for the government secrecy around ET contacts, UFO's, etc. is usually put forward as the worldwide panic that would ensue. Governments fear they would lose control, when the people realise they aren't the ultimate power anymore and so on... - and this old radioplay is always used as an example, that when people thought there really was an alien invasion taking place there were suicides and mass panic, etc. It even seems that this play may have been deliberately put on to test the reaction of the public...? They 'failed' the test ...and so we've had the secrecy ever since. Anyway, my point is, what if instead of a hostile invasion scenario they had tested a peaceful contact scenario? Where would we be now? Just a thought... ![]() |

that radio play and the script they created for it are tinged by their own ignorance and fear. They talk about aliens landing and killing everyone and WTH do you expect people to do .... get scared. That hasnt happened because thats not the case. Who would want to hang out on this planet anyway to talk to people that dont listen and swim in their mental sores festering and oozing pools of puss.
as an empath this planet makes me sick. |
