Default What are YOU doing to help?

I'd like to start a thread where people could share what they have been doing to make a difference, to help, to change, to influence, etc.
It doesn't have to be a "huge" thing and it can comprise all possible areas. I'll start with myself so you can get an idea of what I mean.

I financially support a shelter for horses saved from slaughter-houses, run by two wonderful, committed people (a couple).
I financially ( I also take food and other things there) support a woman who runs a small shelter for cats().
I sometimes "employ" my friend's daughter to watch over my cats when I am away, paying her quite good money ( their life isn't too easy) and it's a good pretext
I sometimes buy food for my other friend's pets ( to help her in this way).

I know that it will be so nice to read your posts here....

PS. It doesn't have to "involve" money....

This is sad... real sad, I was hoping to see this thread full.

I recently posted something to this in one of many threads. People will just fight / argue about everything else, but when it comes to the real deal they just sit and wait. They do nothing about it. Sad real sad.

I'll just put in my two cents....
Seashore, lemon_sky88 and myself have been working real hard in getting the message across. We have been working on a website called Massive Awareness, which is devoted to aware individuals about the truth. This is also a great tool site with Wallpapers, and Flyers and bumper stickers(coming soon). We are also working on a time line that shows events of government related info that impacts our world....with the help of everyone else!!!!!

And not to mention I have a 8am-6pmfull time job, .. and family!

I keep control of my own mind. NOT letting it "drift" into any "FEAR"..
I do my own form of deep mediation. Pick up keys of what I should do and what I can do.

From March to the middle of May I was knee deep in pulling off a fundraiser Auction and dinner for a neighbor who is without any health insurance. Those type of hands on things help keep my mind off my own body's problems and I try very hard to keep on keeping on.

IF someone needs a ride or maybe just needs to get out and about I do take them as I am lucky enough to have a dependable auto..

Most of all I keep centered on my own here and now.

Please don't take the lack of response as proof that nobody is doing anything. There is such a thing as humility and I prefer not to say a lot about the things I am doing. It feels too much like bragging.

Here are a few things - I'm adopting a teenage boy who I met in the Big Brother Big Sister program. He was in the foster program and before that his life sucked. I've organized a local CSETI working group so people can meet our galactic neighbors. I donate to a lot of causes I consider worthy, including Project Camelot. I meditate and send energy in support of Dr. Greer's Orion Project efforts.

Anyway. I think it would be nice to hear about what other people are doing. It might begin to feel more like some kind of joint effort is going on.

Inana it is not about bragging. many people just write what should be done, have wonderful ideas, teach others about the right way of living, etc. Quite often the words are as far as they go. To know that there are people who are not only "speakers" but "doers" lifts my spirit. many a time i spoke to the people I know about the importance of recycling ( i chose recycling as one example) and they nodded their heads saying that I was absolutely right and they added that anyway most people don't recycle so why bother. Of course I never get discouraged even when I see That i am "a drop in the ocean" but knowing that there are others who think likewise makes me happy.
So please everybody BRAG ON THIS THREAD. remember what you write here will be heard in the Universe
Every little thing counts...

Hi everybody, well, since there is a great amount of information in english, I started my own site/forum for the Spanish Speaking community, so far we are 31 members with over 140 threats.

I´m trying very hard to get this information out without charging anything of course, and working to pay the servers.

Altho I´m an IT Admin, I spend a lot of time on the site, translating docs or looking for translations (easier hehe).

So Far, this forum has a great amount of information that i´m taking it from, which I thank you all for your collaboration.

I will start new projects once I get enough money do new things, so far this is what i´m doing.

BTW, I added new Google links for different languages so it can translate the whole site, I hope they all read ok

http://loqueignoras.com

Means, What you Ignore, I thought it was catchy..............

Feel free to pass by, and if you write it in proper English, it will read Spanish very well.

Thanks a lot again, MastaYoda, nice website, I like the Idea, good work everybody!

Lindabaker,

At the moment we don't have any videos for 'THE TRUTH'. I'm working on the first one, but its bit hard because I don't have much footage (video), also I don't have anyone to do the voice over. So I may have to do it, but I'm going to ask my friend Mel from the Veristas show and see if he is interested.

At the moment I don't have a time frame, but I will not keep everyone waiting for to long. I can assure you we are working hard to have it ready.

Greenberet,

I would love to have massive awareness translated in Spanish. As I'm also fluent in Spanish but my witting skills suck. Can you let me know what google tools you are using for the translation? .. not just for me, but probably for others that have similar sites and wish to translate them to other languages as well.

Thanks.

I support three filmmaking teams, provide the equipment; HD camera's,
shot gun mike's, Lav mikes, Lights, legs N' fluid heads, editing CPU's, camera
cranes, booms, gels, soft lights, etc.

Actors, directors stay in my home, if from out of town, for a shoot being done
in AZ... Also, I allow my home to be used for shoots [as long as they clean
up after]...

Recently, a broadcast director lost her job with a local TV station. I buy her
food, give her support until she gets back on her feet.

A DP, and his wife just had a baby [yesterday] girl... I help... where I can...

If, someone needs to talk... They know I'll give them good honest advice...
Some, just need lines for a script, I'm accused of being quick witted...

And, for my own fun and for the filmmakers, I fly a UAV w/camera for
overhead shots... For the shot list...

Generally, I do what I can for others... Everyone, has a hard time every now
and again... I provide stress relief for some. I help those that help themselves.
If I help someone the agreement is they have to pay it forward... Or, I can't help
them.

I believe that's why I survived...

Trooly,

Tango

Well this is nice to hear. I have also closed all my bank accounts and canceled my CC cards, since the new chips came in with the cards. I knew I was going to have to take a stand sooner or later, so I thought the sooner the better.

But like you everyone around me thinks I have lost my marbles.
I would care if I thought I wasn't doing the right thing, but I know I am so I don't care.

I have bad luck with people in 'real life' that are willing to wake up, most would prefer to just sit around and watch family guy... or gossip about someone else or whatever.. blah. I use every opportunity to talk about what is happening that I can, and ever person I do wake up is a big plus for me because I know that not only have I helped them, but also they will awaken everyone they can.

From what I have seen, Canadians (I was born here) are some of the most ignorant of all nations to the PTW.

Wake up eh!

Hi Mastayoda,

Look, if you go to this google tool, you just put your site url, and pick your original language, and then the language you want to translate it to,

http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=es#

Once you click translate, copy the link and put it to your site, its not a perfect translation, but its a very good start.

Good luck on your site, mine is moving pretty good,

In addition to making donations, I have a YouTube channel, where I link to a new blog I've established.

My YouTube channel also features 3 Favorite videos, including a promotional video for Massive Awareness.

I use my blog to link to Infowars and Cutting Through the Matrix.

Hi, my husband and I do volunteer work with the Our Harbour Project which is a replica of Abri en Ville, Montreal. Basically we interact with people who have mental problems. Some of our activities involve going shopping with residents, helping set up and furnish apartments, celebrating birthdays, participating in various outings such as hiking, biking, picnics. We invite them to our home for BBQ suppers etc. We have met some fine people this way.

We also do volunteer work for HOPE which basically helps people with food, but if necessary also with rent, hydro bills etc. Volunteers deliver bags of groceries directly to their homes.

Through our local quilting guild, I have been involved in various fundraising activities which funnel money to organizations that help people in need including the two I have mentioned above.

Equally important however, is the work I have been doing on myself: controlling negative emotions, critical thoughts and shifting my attitude into positive mode.

Please don't be sad. I think many people like to work behind the scenes, quietly and without fanfare, reluctant to blow thier own trumpet.

That is not to critisize the thread or its contributors. My sense is that some of the posts I read in this thread have been written with some difficulty on account of this. That is a balance which in itself is probably an acheivement in its own right.

On thinking about it, my own contribution to other-selves has largely been through spoken words and written words, but I do donate as well (not to charities, but to initiatives like Avalon).

I guess, most importantly, the work we do on ourselves ultimately helps all of us.

A..

I don't care to toot my horn but I will offer one thing:

I am prepared to offer my assistance, knowledge, love and courage in case of catastrophe and I feel that I am always alert and "on-standby".

It's probably not enough but when the time comes, I will be ready.

I agree the most important work to do at this time is too ourselves. Controlling negative emotions really struck a cord with me. Ive been noticing for a while now an increase almost on a day to day basis of stress (even over something that seems should not be so stressful) as well as negative or fearful emotions/dreams ect. I think its the approaching jump in consciousness as depicted by the Miyan calender, or maybe my intellect and the information I've collected may be accelerating my transition maybe? Anyhow so my contribution is to continue to drop my fear of life and reality. I am also doing all I can to unlock my abilities (and drop my fears of them as well) and see my path. Both of these are still quite hazy for me as to how and what they are. It is hard to remain patient at times but I know it is necessary to do so. I'm also attempting to eliminate humility from my life. I spread this information to all those that I can. And Im right there with you guys. Lots think im nutz, But lots listen and even those who think im nutz are intrigued.

Well I suppose it can be a good thing and I should elaborate. I mean eliminating the fear of what people think so the I can drop something that I see as quite limiting. If I'm always worried about what some one thinks of what I'm going to say or do I may not say or do something that is quite necessary or may of been a great opportunity out of fear. I suppose I should say rather than eliminating humility from my life I will eliminate fear. Humility could be looked at as a healthy respect for others as well and I do wish to respect everyone. At times tho others may be apart of something and not respect us enough to give this information which leads to misleading. At that point one might try to humiliate me over this information I have to discourage me and This is where humility may be limiting and necessary to eliminate? any thoughts or a better way to say what Im trying to get at anyone?

I am working on myself first of all and it that way I can help other people. I am always available to talk to people who are seeking the truth within themselves. I have also started a garden and talk gardening with co workers. It is amazing how many people have gardens. We share seeds and info on planting. The most important thing is working on myself. I am trying to do everything from a place of love. It shouldn't be that hard to do but at times it is very difficult because the of programming. This is a great thread. Thanks Burgundia
