I wanted to post this for those who are still not sure about life out side this galaxy. I think maybe there may be something outthere.
![]() Then ![]() ![]() I CERTAINLY THOUGHT THIS WAS ENLIGHTENING. BEYOND OUR SUN IT'S A BIG UNIVERSE. ![]() ![]() ANTARES IS THE 15 TH BRIGHTEST STAR IN THE SKY. IT IS MORE THAN 1000 LIGHT YEARS AWAY. NOW, TRY TO WRAP YOUR MIND AROUND THIS... THIS IS A HUBBLE TELESCOPE ULTRA DEEP FIELD INFRARED VIEW OF COUNTLESS 'ENTIRE' GALAXIES BILLIONS OF LIGHT-YEARS AWAY. ![]() BELOW IS A CLOSE-UP OF ONE OF THE DARKEST REGIONS OF THE PHOTO ABOVE. ![]() Still think that we are alone????? ![]() Henry

Hi Henners,
Man is the only creature arrogant enough to think that they are the unique from of intelligent life in this Universe. Of course there's life out there and it's closer to us than most people are aware of. I think that they don't want their planet to be discovered. If it is, I think there could be bad consequences. It's just a thought, don't ask me if I know something that you don't. It's just a gut feeling. Best regards, Steve |

Hey Henners,
Those pics aren't showing for me?? I've always believed there were others out there - but the sheer size of space is making me wonder just how many!! Its mind blowing ![]() However, here's a thought - Is it all space as we know it, i.e. is Hubble looking over a distance? Or is Hubble peering into other dimensions out there? We already know that the light that is observed happened X amount of our years ago so who knows ... Peace Best Regards Iain |

I just read this article, i wanted to share it with you....
Number of alien worlds quantified "Intelligent civilisations are out there and there could be thousands of them, according to an Edinburgh scientist. The discovery of more than 330 planets outside our solar system in recent years has helped refine the number of life forms that are likely to exist. The current research estimates that there are at least 361 intelligent civilisations in our Galaxy and possibly as many as 38,000. The work is reported in the International Journal of Astrobiology. Even with the higher of the two estimates, however, it is not very likely that contact could be established with alien worlds. While researchers often come up with overall estimates of the likelihood of intelligent life in the universe, it is a process fraught with guesswork; recent guesses put the number anywhere between a million and less than one. "It's a process of quantifying our ignorance," said Duncan Forgan, the University of Edinburgh researcher who carried out the work. In his new approach, Mr Forgan simulated a galaxy much like our own, allowing it to develop solar systems based on what is now known from the existence of so-called exoplanets in our galactic neighbourhood. These simulated alien worlds were then subjected to a number of different scenarios. If alien life forms do exist, we may not necessarily be able to make contact with them, and we have no idea what form they would take Duncan Forgan Edinburgh University The first assumed that it is difficult for life to be formed but easy for it to evolve, and suggested there were 361 intelligent civilisations in the galaxy. A second scenario assumed life was easily formed but struggled to develop intelligence. Under these conditions, 31,513 other forms of life were estimated to exist. The final scenario examined the possibility that life could be passed from one planet to another during asteroid collisions - a popular theory for how life arose here on Earth. That approach gave a result of some 37,964 intelligent civilisations in existence. " "Form and function While far-flung planets may reduce uncertainty in how many Earth-like planets there are, some variables in the estimate will remain guesses. For example, the time from a planet's formation to the first sparks of life, or from there to the first intelligent civilisations, are large variables in the overall estimate. For those, Mr Forgan says, we will have to continue to assume Earth is an average case. "It is important to realise that the picture we've built up is still incomplete," said Mr Forgan. "Even if alien life forms do exist, we may not necessarily be able to make contact with them, and we have no idea what form they would take. "Life on other planets may be as varied as life on Earth and we cannot predict what intelligent life on other planets would look like or how they might behave." Well well well, all those discs, greys, tall whites, tall greys, reptilians, Andromedans etc etc etc must all be in our imagination then.....

Hi Humble Janitor,
I think they are. Why? If they wanted the Earth population to find their home, they would have invited us by now. The problem is that when we mention the Earth population, we need to include everyone, warts and all. If the population of the Earth can't even agree amongst itself, how on Earth (excuse the pun) will it deal with a population from another world? I also don't agree that we have the potential to cast aside our arrogance, as a whole, as there will ALWAYS be someone who thinks they are more important and deserves more than the next as long as we live and breath. Unfortunately it's human nature. This, of course, brings us to the subject of the 'chosen few'.... Does just that sound arrogant? Best regards, Steve |

The one eyed aliens caught my attention just getting the eye thing in again as they have too! Steve A have to agree with you about the chosen few! It is arrogant to think that just afew think they have been chosen to make it through the quagmire. But then i think well we are all programmed so to speak it's just another form of that i guess. |

Ask to meet them. Then you won't have to *think* about whether or not there is life out there, you will know. Personal experience beats endless theorizing based on limited information every time. Me talking about my experience is just more pixels on the computer screen - it won't help you *know*.

We need to UNDO this system of cultural brainwashing and teach our future generations that wealth and greed are WORTHLESS because there IS more to life than what we currently understand. Also, the technology to contact them has been suppressed for so long that we don't even know if they want us around or not. Our governments know and they use that information against us and them. We cannot receive their signals. Their existence is hidden from us. How do we know then? I respectively disagree on the human nature part and I can see where you are coming from. ![]() Last edited by Humble Janitor; 03-10-2009 at 01:14 PM. |
