One addition I would add to the discussion of indwelling by families of entities controlling the planet for their agenda:

I was told about twenty years ago that these families actually have technology to enable the process; The soul memories are stored after death and downloaded into a new body when it is born. I didn't get the impression that this was physical technology, but still technology.
