I found confirmation of the 'suicide attempt' on the Scientific American website...but without mention of Dr. Haignere exclaiming 'the world must be warned'! Also, there was no mention of human/alien DNA research. I found a moving video featuring Dr. Haignere on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPwlAr67q6s Dr. Haignere is a very charming, intelligent, and articulate woman.
