Personally, I think the real clue to me about his choice and grooming was his selection to give the major speech at the Democratic convention in 2004. At that point, he was pretty much an unknown, except to the Chicago cabal. This struck me as a fast track way of getting him into the public limelight. My question was, "Why?" Now we know.
