Parents fed on a diet of state dependancy and fear.

They fear so much and so vast a swathe of good natural fun is seen as gewrm filled, fear filled uber danger that its just too much against 'health and saftey' to even attempt it.

I never died from sleeping outside, leaping off water falls into pools, caving, canoeing or swimming in the ocean.

Heck, survivor camp never killed me either.

Thats how my kids are growing up -outdoors and active.
