Default Re: Books that changed my life - Tell me more!

When I was 14, that is 40 year ago, I suddenly realized that I was thinking in close looped patterns provided by the society I was living in. I went on a quest for different information: zen, Indian yogis, European mysticism and esotorism, New Age types of approach etc. Then got this book in my hand. I red half page and red it again, I only understood it half, but for me it was instantly clear: this man KNOWS. His name was Sri Aurobindo. It is still the same for me today, nothing I have ever read comes for me even close to the information and insight and certainty that this source provides, it is my paradigm and gives a clear perception to what is happening in the world today and events in the last century, including the 2 world wars in with SA and the Mother, his spiritual companion, involved themselves occultly.

Man is a transitional being; he is not final.
The step from man to superman is the next approaching achievement in the Earth's evolution.
It is inevitable because it is at once the intention of the inner Spirit and the logic of Nature's process.

A few lines from Savitri, a 24.000 line poem:

O Force-compelled, Fate-driven earth-born race,
O petty adventurers in an infinite world
And prisoners of a dwarf humanity,
How long will you tread the circling tracks of mind
Around your little self and petty things?...
A Seer, a strong Creator, is within,
The immaculate Grandeur broods upon your days,
Almighty powers are shut in Nature's cells.
