just saying hello and sending my regards.
I'm German but atm live in Manchester, Uk..however, we'll be relocating at some point in the near(er) future back home, most possibly where family is which will be NRW. It's nice to have grandparents around for the kids and also, they will need support from us. Cologne and around might be a possibility, too...ah might not. A bit will depend on work, and making a living, too. Near enough to a city (work) but far enough away for health.
I tend to concur with Michael and would preferably relocate to somewhere in the black forest but I suppose the key is to remain flexible. Hopefully, in the Ruhrvalley we'll be at least far enough away from the sea to be able to plan next steps.
Anyway, to date we haven't even got a 'plan' yet and having a mortgage over here really really really ties you down. If I had known 2 years ago (when we bought the house) what I know know - I'd never done it. Doh
Please keep me posted with what's happening. Anyone in those areas and anywhere else wishing to touch base, please feel free to PM - I'm comfortable in both languages but pretty much no other ones!
