My understanding is that OH- ion in the hydroxyapatite complex is replaced by fluoride F- giving a fluorapatite complex which causes fluorosis. Fluor is not the prime cause for calcification in this process.

I'm still trying to know what causes calcification in the PG. thx for your (and futur) helps.
