You may NOT wish to advertise you stash. When people start getting hungry and thirsty they also start getting UNREASONABLE. They may accuse you of hoarding, even though technically this isn't true because you gathered your supplies while they were plentiful for everone... but they may not care to make such a subtle distinction.
Elsewhere on this blog is a member who lived in the path of hurricane Katrina; he 1) warned all his friends and family to begin gathering emergency supplies while 2) he did this for himself. When the hurricane had passed, he discovered his 'friends' and family, who had NOT bothered to heed his warning, began to incorrectly accuse him of hoarding, which was technically not true. But they became quite unreasonable REAL FAST. Get the picture?
1) You have supplies. 2) They don't. 3) They want your supplies.
You complete the action-adventure scenario... with people of low moral standards as the starring cast of thousands.
