any word on the UK going bankrupt, sterling has been looking very shaky lately, and big High Street shops are going out of business, Woolworths and MFI. They just cut VAT to 15%- they were planning to put it up to 21% last week. This is designed to bring retail prices down, but with all of the big stores producing their xmas brochures etc this is just adding to the chaos and confusion on the high street. I think this could be a very interesting few months coming up. |
