The spiritual war has existed for a very long time, but I don't think you can compare that to the few problems here on avalon, I for one don't have any problems with it, I believe most people on this forum are good people who are on their own spiritual journey, their radical attitudes way seem harsh to those who may have a more enlightened perspective, But looking back I remember a time when I may have been considered by some to be a fear mongerer, all of this information may be totally new and exiting to some and the way they react to it can sometimes be a shock to their system. Be patient with those who still act by their egos, for we all do from time to time.
