Ok, more on Cayenne Pepper as a supplement as requested above.
The following is from the book I read: THE HEALING POWER OF CAYENNE PEPPER by Patrick Quillin.
One person who suffered from terrible stomach pains that doctors could not help decided to commit suicide by taking a large dose of cayenne pepper. After the ingestion, he passed out but when he awoke, SURPRISE, the pain was gone and the original stomach problem was practically healed. So while I personally no longer 'suffer' from cayenne pepper supplement ingestions (I did a little at first), I became used to it and no longer suffer any ill stomach pains.
MY EXPERIENCE: I have diabetes and I started to suffer diabetic retinopathy, the small blood vessels at the back of the eyes were bursting and threatening to make me blind. I came across the above book, read it, and began takinig the supplements. On my next visit to the eye doctor a couple months later, the blood vessels were healed and the bleeding was practically brought to a halt. SO I KNOW THIS STUFF WORKS!!!
Since diabetes begins to damage the small blood vessels first and begins to work up the the larger ones, requiring foot and limb amputations sometimes, the cayenne pepper counters this tendency and restores damaged blood vessels. Of course, the diabetic person must keep his sugar under control, but the pepper is a big help.
Cayenne pepper has a 'contradictory' effect on the blood vessels. In case of large bleeding from a large vessel, it helps to 'thicken' the blood and stop the bleeding quickly. In case of damage to small vessels, it heals quickly and helps the blood flow more easily into smaller vessels!!! THE STUFF IS MIRACULOUS!!
For those who have stomach problems taking the gel capsules, the book recommends taking smaller dosage capsules with food and slowly work up the the standard doseage of 40,000 heat units. The book recommends NOT buying the 'cool' doseage supplements, if you get the 'cool' pepper supplements, they remove the beneficial but heat producing chemical and you end up having to take more anyway to the the 'theraputic' dose. For the gell capsules, you can always separate the two halves and pour out some of the doseage and slowly work up to the normal dose over time.
For anyone, having a healthy cardio-vascular system is important. For diabetics, it is critical.
Plus, it greatly increases the uptake or bioavailability of your other supplements, multiplying their effective doseages, saving you money on your other supplements.
I hope this helps to answer questions from above.
For anyone, start using smaller doseages if side effects are a problem, and slowly work up to a more standard dose. According to the book, the stomach discomfort some feel is pain only, no damage to the stomach is taking place. PLEASE GET AND READ THE BOOK.
