they are truely on a different level than most musicians, let alone the metal genre. they demonstrate the ancient math very well. the guitars are almost never in common 4/4 time, meshuggah is known for their highly complex rhythms and time signatures. BUT they make poly-metric rhythms to pull it all together. (ex. guitars playing in 3s, drums playing in 4s ... 3333 (3 x 4) = (4 x 3) 444) it's a little hard to explain but the song 'bleed' would be a good listen to see what i'm talking about.

meshuggah is really a special band..suggest the genre would be "overkill".
never heard of them before. "bleed" is somewhat energizing..i like metal music that can relax and energize at the same time..(it`s an art `...)
