I wonder if there's good fishing in those lakes.

I am not sure if the accounts presented in the story are that much related. The first one sounds like a UFO incident, whereas the 2nd sounds like an odd coincidence.

I am very fascinated, however, with stories of UFOs going in and out of bodies of water. Although I haven’t heard many stories of them being “killers”.
