What an interesting thread.... I've been hearing it, too. I just thought (not that I had given it much real thought, actually) that I had been exposed to too much noise, and my inner ear or brain was still working on residue stimulation. Some nights I just can't sleep because of it; it makes me nervous and nauseated. I end up leaving the tv on to drown it out.

Just now I had another mental flash... have any of you read James Redfield's books "The Celestine Prophesy" and the others that followed that? The protagonists could hear a disturbing sound that interfered with meditation and decreased their energy levels. In the books, the interference was produced by a governmental agency precisely to block the "ascension" to the next level of consciousness many of you describe on this forum. Interesting....
