If you give 300 million people 1 million dollars each it will cost 300 TRILLION dollars.

If you cut that back to $100,000 for each American that is still 30 trillion dollars.

If you give 300 million people 1 dollar each it will cost 300 million dollars (plus several dollars in processing costs for each check sent!).

The current total US National debt is around 10 trillion dollars. Divided by 300 million that means we each owe around $33,000 dollars to the national debt collection agency.
