Re: If you haven't watched this yet; watch it today
I watched it, and it's a very simplistic and narrow interpretation of religions designed to ridicule it and not really study it. I watched the full version as well, with another two movies included (one was about 9/11 and another about banking).
In the end they give the message "The revolution is now", which made everything clear to me. They are wackos that use this revolutionary mindset, which is far from new, to justify whatever they want today. The idea of an utopia in an unspecified future gives them the justification they need to do whatever they want now, as if they were the chosen ones to carry humanity towards this place. One example of such mentality is the atrocities of communism, not only in Russia, but also in China and Latin America.
That allied with materialism is dangerous.
The political left always leaned towards science as a way to "save" humanity. That's why they supported scienfic racism in the past, and still support racial ideologies under the disguise of "multiculturalism".
I really can't trust people that don't recognize the idea of a reality beyond physical matter.
