Default Re: Deodorant Toxin - Aluminum Zirconium Trichlorohydrex Gly

Ghar means "laurel/bey" in Arabic. Imho, it is better than true Castile/olive oil soap. I've used two Greek brands of Castile soap, one Israeli, one French, and a bar of Kiss My Face and they don't compare to ghar soap.

Laurel is the same as bey, only bey is a much more pungent variety of the same tree. Bey leaves are those tiny little leaves they sell in a jar for $5 (which you can buy for 2.99/pound at an import store), and laurel leaves are the big ones they sell in Indian groceries. I am not sure if the soapmakers use an oil to make the soaps, of if they just boil the leaves in the water they intend to use. Btw, the ghar soap is still made with olive oil.
