Personally I found Michael Newton's books to be very disturbing. Who exactly are these "lovely" beings that are there to greet us when we die, go over our whole life, convince us that the ghastly suffering and misery was all our own choice, then stick us in front of a big screen with different "options" for our new life. I recall one regression where someone was told they chose to be in a concentration camp to learn.
Then these delightful beings send you packing with no memory of anything so you can learn and experience more...I also recall Michael writing that at one point these beings stopped him from going any further and said "we know who you are"....seems like a very dodgy set-up to me.
