Sounds like you are set up well. It seems likely that you will get to spend a lot more time there in the future.

So the olive trees do well in your tropical climate? I've been wondering about that. Seems like an excellent long-term investment to plant an olive orchard. Another idea I've been wanting to implement is to bring in a lot of open-pollinated seeds from sources in the US. I don't know about Brazil, but Venezuela has very little diversity in vegetable seeds. I have only seen three types of tomatoes and one type of corn (maize).

It would be nice if this forum featured the ability to flag someone to a post, let them know you were replying to them, rather than leaving it to chance that they might have subscribed to the thread or might go back and check at some point. I don't see any way it can fulfill its potential without that.
