Bush detained? Sure it can happen. All that is needed is one or more federal judges to agree to arrest him for treason, then the military takes more than a little evidence and arrest warrants to the Prez and Mr Vice for review, and, shows them that they, along with their posse, have been found out and what nasty things are to be done to bring them all to justice.
But if he (Bush) and his cronies were to behave themselves through January 11th, and not start any mischief, like world war III, or a pandemic, or martial law, then go quietly into the night, he may still save his assets... and America.
"Thank you, mister president, for your support. Now, get in the helicopter, because you are going to Camp David until the election on Tuesday. Consider yourself under house arrest!"
This scenario is not only plausible, but probably the only way to have a bloodless changing of the guard. The newly elected president makes a clean sweep of all the Bush cronies and replaces them (with his own).
Bush has already admitted that this would all be a lot easier if this were a dictatorship, as long as he was the dictator.
Mr. Prez, I love you, but you got to go.
After January 11, then we can cry out, "Crucify Him!" if we want.
I love it when a plan comes together. They couldn't make a movie this good.
