I've been hearing this off and on for 28ish years, but it has been occuring more frequently the past year. I have been tested for tinnitus, negative. I have cats, so I'm pretty sure it's not a cat repellant. It does get louder and higher in pitch at night when I'm "praying".

Do I know what it is? Nope. And it doesn't effect my hearing, i can still hear everything around me.
