Good questions, but IMO these answers don't matter. As Brinty said no one can predict the future.

Time is fluid, it flows in a certain direction but it can easily be diverted into a million different streams.

You can't live for what might happen, after all- if the world comes to an end/we acsend/planet x comes, there're nothing you can do about it. You can be prepared, but stressing about it will just take away from the time remaing if in fact that is the case.

Don't stop searching for answers, just don't let the possibilites get you down. Live for today, make the best out of life.
